Wait, I can mail it even if the online status says *IN PROCESS*?

That changes everything! XD

Good News for all of you with March 4th dates I just called and was able to get my Case Number and IIN and give our email adddresses!!! YAY such a great day I needed this news. I have already sent out the DS-3032!!

Woohoo, congrats! kicking.gif

I was reading the "sample interview questions" and under documents it says to bring passport size photos of each of you, do I really have to take 2 passport photos of my my husband?

Nope. Passport photos for the petitioner aren't needed no0pb.gif

That wiki was posted in 2008, so maybe back then, it was required. But definitely not anymore.

F-M-L. Got an email from my senator's liaison and apparently the NVC lost my file. Going through the email trail my senator sent me, first NVC stated they haven't received it from the USCIS. Then the USCIS provided them with the tracking number and shows a gentleman named Desmond signing for it. Now, they state they can't find the case in the building. I must have truly pissed someone off. This is absolutely mother flipping incredible......this is complete BS.

Wow... blink.gif Definitely request for an expedite once they do locate your case and assign a number...

Ugh, once again I paid my bill(this time iv) and it still shows it in process after its been 3 days since they already took out the money from my bank account. I noticed a member paid their IV bill the same day as me and their status was updated to *paid...

There goes sending out my stuff tomorrow at this rate..

Also a question(its been answered before but im still unclear about the *Right answer)

My parents are going to be my joint sponsor and they file their taxes jointly.

So do each of them fill out an I-864A or they can fill it out together?

Whoever will be the main joint sponsor (probably the one that earns more should be) will fill the I-864. Then the spouse will fill the I-864A. You'll fill the I-864.

I emailed NVC my DS 3032 March 13, and did not receive any approval letter except auto response. :(

It can take 2 weeks or more. Have you been calling NVC to find out the status of your DS-3032?

Ok so I got false checklist for AOS since IV package was accepted yesterday. I JUST got off the phone with NVC and the operator said she can see that a package is under review, which of course is the AOS package since we didn't send anything else in, although she couldn't be specific. She said that all she can see is that it says "mail package under review".

My AOS and IV packages reached NVC the same day (almost the same time), but were sent from two different places. I think AOS package takes longer to review. So anyone thinking to save money and waiting to send the AOS package with the IV package, don't. You want to send in the AOS package asap b/c as far as I can tell the AOS package is going to hold up your case if sent at the same time as the IV package.

:clock: :clock: :clock: :clock: :clock:

Keep in mind, both packages go to two different departments. Depending on the backlog in each department, one package can take longer than the other, just because it's going to take awhile for an officer to get to your package. So, in your case, there was probably more pending AOS packages than IV ones. Just the luck of the draw on your end.

Congratulations!

kicking.gifkicking.gif

Oh, and Saylin, can you update me too, when you get the chance? Thank you!

Updated! :) Seriously, thanks for the reminder! I appreciate it as it forces me to update right away, instead of to keep postponing it for the mass update laughing.gif

Yesterday I called NVC asking for my Case Number. The girl told me I will hear something in about 10-20 days. Today I received the e-mail with all the information!!!!!! I am so happy right now!!!!!!

Woohoo, congrats! It must have been assigned soon after you called ;)

Sent the ds-261 today. :D

Couldn't sign into the payment portal so I'm hoping they're invoicing the AOS.

Definitely a good sign! yes.gif

Hey does anyone know if NVC is open on spring break or not?

Spring break is something for school, not work.

These would be the days they would be closed (federal holidays): http://beta.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/snow-dismissal-procedures/federal-holidays/#url=2013 There's of course the unforeseen snow days, but we can't predict those :P

Saylin is right, got a response for my ds3023 today march 22 after 12 days. So do my husband expect IV bill invoice very soon?

Could be any day now! Keep an eye on the payment portal ;)

And you only need to press the button once to post :P

Feeling so upset with the NVC right now.

I was just told today that apparently theres another thing missing from the AOS checklist that they said HAS BEEN ACCEPTED and has not been even talked about until now.

#######.

My cosponsor's household member filled out Part II, Question 13 and 14 wrong. And I just NOW hear about it.

Never got a single checklist about it.

Had my cosponsor print a new I-864A to fill out and send tomorrow morning. Going to try to call the NVC bright and early and see if I get the same story.

Should I just send it? I never have heard of this incomplete until now.

Hi Saylin and everyone I have not been online for a while because I'm visiting my wife and is getting ready to go and file a CRBA for my son in a couple of days. i feel prepared and everything but just nervous that they might request a DNA test eventhough I am well stock in the evidence department . I haven't had time to share my progress but I just mailed my AOS packet and my IV packet on March 15 my question is it possible to have my case complete by next Tuesday not for the interview but for my son CRBA and request for an interview like in May or June while I'm there . Or do we have to wait for the interview date set by NVC and not by the embassy counsular. I meant like if it's all possible to request an early interview date for my wife?

I called two times today, was lucky enough to get connected at once both the times. but different information every time. first time I was told that my IV package is under review and the second time they are still waiting for it headbonk.gif I wanted to ask when will I get the case complete but as usual wait for 2-4 weeks. I am not liking this wait now.

It's taking NVC about 1-2 weeks to review packages. So, if both are accepted, you can definitely get a case complete by the end of this week.

Have you been calling NVC every day since they were delivered to find out the status on them?

My husband doesn't like me calling them all the time so I just wanted to know what was an acceptable time to start calling. I will call tonight when I get home. What do you call and ask though? Just ask if your car is complete or do you ask if the AOS and IV packages were approved?

Hmmm yes I can see that. But to avoid that I say send in the packets as soon as you can! :P

Since yesterday the payment portal shows that message 'you cannot make payment at this time please contact the NVC if you have any questions" looking at other post I see that this is a good sign that you are going to be invoiced. Does it normally take them like two days to invoice?
