Awesome, me too! My first game was watching Carl "The Yaz" hit his 3000th and I was hooked. I already got my wife her hat and we are planing on first game in April, if we can get this done. Good luck to you!

Congrats!

My wife is a Red Sox fanatic too!

Ok, good about him moving back to the US already. It's made your process easier.

And good luck with calling NVC. Hopefully all the operators are consistent and give the same answer...

So called a couple times and I swear no one knows the answer. One told me to put the "adjusted gross" (which is $0) because that's what it asks for, another said they need the income because they need to know how much he earned, and another said it doesnt matter because I'm sending in the transcript and they can see themselves.... So, I decided to put the "adjusted gross" on the lines, and add a column labelled "total foreign income". Hope I don't get an RFE.

Separately, the second operator I spoke to said there is no email on the file (though I gave it last night), so I gave them again. Should I resend the OPTIN email? (Still haven't gotten the DS-261 form)

Make sure you write a little note in the cover letter about it. And I suggest putting a little sticky note next to that question saying see the cover letter for an explanation. I'm not sure how well the officers read the cover letters, so...

And if you want to re-send another optin, go for it. Weird you gave the email address yesterday but wasn't on file today. If you do re-send it, mention in the body that you had originally sent it yesterday, but because the email address wasn't actually on file, you're re-sending it. Something to that effect anyways.

Eeek, AOS Fee bit has disappeared from the payment page. Does that suggest they are invoicing it?

Hi everyone,

I finally received my case number today!!

It took around 14 business days from the time the file reached NVC to getting the case number.

I gave them both my email address and my wife's email address.

I then asked them about how to go about removing my lawyers name from the application. The customer support person asked me to send an email to NVCinquiry@state.gov

with our details along with a request to remove the lawyers name.

Next I asked them when they can send the DS-3032 and was told that it will be send via email but that it could take upto 20 business days. Does it take that long to get the email?

I did not ask them for IIN (Invoice Number)

Did I make a mistake? Does the IIN number get generated along with the case number? If so, can I call back on Monday and ask for the IIN?

You can send the DS 3032 before they send it to you. You can get it here http://www.state.gov/documents/organization/80023.pdf People are suggesting the quickest way is to fill it in, print and sign it then scan and email it to NVCINQUIRY@state.gov with the subject message supervisor review. I believe you also need NVC case number, beneficiary full name and DOB in subject line. (I think).

I would call back today and ask for your IIN number. They are open until 12. You probably won't be able to do anything with it today but at least you'll have it!

Woohoo, grats! kicking.gif

Send off that email about removing the lawyer, as well as sending the DS-3032 email. Follow the format linked to in the first post. No need to wait for them to mail you correspondence about sending the DS-3032.

The IIN is needed to sign into the payment portal. So, if you want it right away, call back up and request it. Or, you can wait for NVC to send you the initial information package which contains your case number, the IIN, and the DS-3032. But, this could take a couple of days and your AOS can be invoiced in the meantime.

Called this AM told them that G. Peters signed for the FEDEX.

Our papers(I-862/DS-230) will be reviewed by PI Supervisor, and forwarded to United States Embassy, Manila.

Then the United States Embassy, Manila, will complete the process.

I hope my wife and I are HERE in the USA before the 21st of March.kicking.gif

See what happens when the right people are involved good.gif

Wow! your papers are riding in an airplane, mine is in a boat... :crying: :crying: :crying: if US Embassy Manila will be the one to finish the process, is that mean that you're wife will be the one to bring the IV Packet? Good luck!

Hallelujah!!!! Congressman liason tracked the file down currently sitting in New Delhi. She found out yesterday but was updated by the consulate today due to time difference. The consulate shipped it to NVC and the liason is waiting for a tracking number. She said she will follow up next week with the NVC to ensure they don't get confused. If you're in Pennsylvania and are having trouble, contact Senator Toomeys office. Great and quick response.

Well thank God. I know how you feel and feel your pain of losing a month. This is great news. Yeah for your congressperson.
