Can you get a certified copy of the marriage certificate? If you married in the US, it should be easy enough.

Thank You Saylin for the answer, Nop i got married back home, and yes i can get another original certificate but it will not have my wife and my signature on it and that my raise a flag at the interview day at the consulate.

does the USCIS send my I-130 and the marriage certificate to NVC? do you think they have it (NVC)? grrrrr so mad about this :( :(

USEM didn't request any additional documents, or anything. Is that normal?

Didn't you send both AOS and IV packages to NVC? If so, then what else would the embassy need from you?

Well, I sent in my certified copy of our marriage certificate, no signatures, and we had no problems.

You can try calling NVC on Monday when they open and inquire. Not sure if USCIS still would have your original or not.

Yes, but I see others posting about taking things, like copies of everything they submitted.

We are taking a photo album, just in case, and a cd with over 82,000 text messages, and phone bills. I don't think we will need them, since we are married.kicking.gifheart.gif

The embassy doesn't request those things. We as VJ members bring copies so we're prepared, in case they request it due to them losing it or not having it. It's called being prepared ;)

CDs won't be allowed inside the embassy by the way. You'll need to print everything out on paper if you want to bring it inside.

And the whole point of the interview in many places is to prove a BONA FIDE marriage. They obviously know you're married, but you need to prove that it's real and not just to get a green card. You need to bring as much evidence as you possibly can.

Like dwheels said, the case is only sent abroad AFTER an interview date has been assigned. Are you sure you inputted your case number correctly? Does it still show up as that message?

Well, it's not my real-life friends (I don't have those laughing.gif), but they have become my friends since I'm on there most nights.

But yes, it's a good idea to stay away. Some times I wish I can, since I have more important priorities right now, but I can't headbonk.gif

Can you get a certified copy of the marriage certificate? If you married in the US, it should be easy enough.

Yeah it can be be tough with WoW, two friends quit with me for me to successfully quit, otherwise i'd still be raiding and playing during all my free time... and be single. lol

Yeah, WoW definitely sucks a lot of my time laughing.gif But yeah, I think I still play for the social factor. And I healed in Wrath, but when Cata came out, I switched to DPS and haven't changed since then. And Cata and MOP have been good. Some people like them, some people hated it. I'm easy to please, so laughing.gif

@ Cotolasty and Saylin

I played Shaiya on Aeria Games. Its where my husband and I met. I'm more often a priest or priest/tank.

We are on Guild Wars 2 now. :D We love this game. You should all come play with us. We started it 2 weeks ago. The holy trinity of grinding doesn't really apply in it so I am playing a few different classes that all DPS, can heal, rez, and no real tanking required. (Though my brave knight in armor takes the heat for my squishy caster still <3)

Hi,

I need your confirmation that my understanding is right: after the I-130 is approved,

- the BENEFICIARY (me) emails DS-3032; NVC Invoices IV Fee; BENEFICIARY pays the fee online and gets the bar code ; sends the required documents to NVC (the DS forms, birth certificate, marriage certificate, passport pics, police certificate, copy of the passport)

- the PETITIONER (my husband) pays online and gets the bar code . Then he sends (in a separate mail than the beneficiary) the I-864 form along with all the tax papers and letter of employment.

Thank you!

Andreea - the beneficiary- in Romania
Mike - the petitioner- in US

Yes, that's exactly right. Except it doesn't matter who does what step ;) The USC could send in the IV packet but the IV Packet is all about the beneficiary so it's usually easier for the beneficiary to deal with IV packet and for the petitioner to deal with the AOS packet. Oh, and the petitioner has to pay all the fees since in order to pay online the money has to come out of a US bank, you can't use overseas accounts.

I was just about to ask if it would be pertinent when responding to a checklist to address the package differently. Then I reopened the PDF of the checklist with the bar code, and it is addressed differently. Awesome.

Yeah, if I quit, my husband would probably still play, and I'd get tempted to go back every night he raids or goes on, so whistling.gif

I would suggest just taking one conversation per month, to show that you're both always talking. Cause 2100 pages is a lot laughing.gif

One game (WoW) is more than enough for me laughing.gif I even tried playing Star Wars (SWTOR) last year in conjunction with WoW... yeah, that didn't work. Only one game for me. I can't juggle two, along with school, homework, and work wacko.gif
