It's not about that. The implication is that since congress isn't dealing with the sequestration issue and funding, then the Obama administration says ok fine, we'll just let all these detained illegal immigrants go.

I agree. But your dealing with people that have the emotional maturity of 5 year olds on both sides of the issue. So don't expect any rational actions from them. That way you wont be disappointed.

It's kinda like when the drunk uncle does something stupid at the family Christmas eve get together. Everyone knows he's a drunk fool so they just say, "there's ol' uncle Sam acting a fool again."

Always have low expectations when dealing with politicians. That's a lesson I think alot of young Obama voters from 2008 have learned.

generally speaking, i've known one person who was deported for being here illegally and they got dropped off in cambodia. bit more expensive.

I was thinking the same thing. I live in LA and the only "illegal" I've known socially was Irish. Takes all kinds, even out here in Browntown.

Awesome for you guys if that's what you run into, but every state I've lived in is a different story. TN/PA specifically. Regardless, why release them into America? Our financial strain must not be bad enough yet.

if ice has to cut their budgets and they release people who haven't broke any laws outside of immigration, sounds reasonable to me.

i may be a bleeding heart, but i can't stand the idea of dropping people off in their "correct" countries when they were brought here as children and have no familiarity with any country other than the u.s. i am well aware that this is not the case for all people who get deported, but opponents of amnesty,dream act, what have you, tend to lump all these people in the same boat/same border, etc.
