It was a K1 and K2 visa and I had my interview on 14 January 2013

The missing Documents were:

Custody Order for my children and a Single Status Letter stating single and never married and I sent them and they confirmed to have received them but up to now my case is still under Administrative processing.

I thought it was a matter of verifying the requested documents from my government to confirm whether they are genuine but up to now nothing is changing.

AM ALSO ON AP CZ OF UPDATED POLICE CERTIFICATE FROM MY COUNTRY OF ORIGIN I SUBMITTED IT SECOND WEEK AFTER MY INTERVIEW CASE STILL PENDING. BUT LETS STILL PRAY FOR BETTER SOON. DID THEY HOLD ON YR PASSPORT?

No they couldn't i had to cross the border back to Uganda. so where are u from originally whats the name of your country?

But generally how long does it take and what does they do in this stage? For your case do they need to confirm with where you got that certificate?

I am wondering whenever I make an inquiry about the status of my application through email, they then update the date only and still the status stands as Administrative Processing. Who can help interpret this for me?

I have so far been in AP for 53 days yet they task for some documents which I turned in after a week.

Your assistance is requested in this matter.

It most likely means they update your case marking they received your email. Receiving the email can be considered an update as it is technically "touched" at that point. If you are in AP there is no way to know how long it will take and no way to speed it up. AP is the process of them doing additional checks - either background/security, papers, etc. Unfortunately all we do know is it takes as long as it takes. Sometimes just a few weeks, maybe a few months - sometimes longer.

I would make sure they acknowledged they received your documents if you mailed them. If you delivered them then of course they have them.

Best of luck for a quick ending to AP! :star:
