so in 3 days, we received 3 great news.

1. 1st day. Received EAD card

2. 2nd day. Brought the EAD card to SSN office and they approved SSN card

3. 3rd day. Green Card interview and approved

Interview today and it was really easy. Both of us in the same room with the interviewer, she asked my wife

name

date of birth

the address

who does my wife live with

asked my wife for her mother name

flipped through the albums and the interviewer loved our wedding pictures.

After answering a bunch of those national security questions of (yes/no) then she told us that we passed the interview and should receive the green card in 2 weeks. The interview lasted for about 15 minutes. She asked for some supporting evidence so I provided her the income tax return, bank stament and health care that both our names on it. She also liked our pictures so much that she asked for 4 to keep.

Later in the day, I received text message and USCIC online updated the news, the greencard is in production mode.

Does anyone know why some people get their EAD card before "Testing and Interview" like myself... and others got "Testing and Interview " before their EAD card

Congratulations to everyone getting EAD cards and interview dates! Alas, I am still in limbo waiting for an actual interview date. Meanwhile, my vegetable and herb garden is doing well

we passed the interview yesterday and was told by the interviewer that we will receive the card in 2 weeks.

the same day in the evening, we received text message from the USCIS website. We logged on to check and the button was on the "Card/Document Production"

I thought that's done.

But just minutes ago I received an email from USCIS website and I logged on. The Button is now switched to "Decision" and the following message is listed in there.

Decision

On May 23, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move before receiving your card, please call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

During this step the formal decision (approved/denied) is written and the decision notice is mailed and/or emailed to the applicant/petitioner. You can use our current processing time to gauge when you can expect to receive a final decision.

Do u get a tracking number on your ead card afters is mailed? Or you just have to wait till arrive?

Yes, I did get a tracking number for the EAD card. Make sure you track that SOB each day to see where it is located, I was worried that some mailman would drop it it the wrong box or misplace it somewhere so I tracked every few hours until the day it said "went out for delivery". I drove home from work that afternoon and the mailman did put it in my box.

You won't get the tracking number until you receive the email and status update saying "We mailed your EAD card directly to the address on file" - hang in there!

This is normal from what Ive read on here a lot of ppl see that happen after their approval. Maybe some internal USCIS process, u are ok

My interview was at 11.45--got there at 11.30 and they seemed to be a little behind. We were called around 12ish. The interviewer made us do the oath thing and started asking questions.

She asked me if I had been in the US before with my B2 visa. Then she asked my husband about his naturalization timeline (which was really odd--even my lawyer thought it was odd that she asked about when he naturalized and even about his reentry permit). Anyway, then she asked me what was the purpose of trip to the US. She mainly focused on trying to see if there was a preconceived intent of immigrating when I arrived on the B2 visa, I believe.

She asked us where we met (online, then she asked what made us join the website, why we started talking), when we met, when we became a couple, when did we decide to get married, if we've met each other's parents (and she asked my husband if he asked my dad's permission to marry me). She also wanted to see the wedding album and we submitted the home and auto insurance (she did not really take the other proofs). Then it was the usual are you a terrorist question.

At the end of the interview, she told us that she needed to review my case before she can make a decision, so we were kinda bummed. My lawyer said that we did well and he said he'd be surprised if we weren't approved, so that gave us slight comfort.

And we got a text message about 10 minutes ago and my I485 is updated to card production! So I guess that means I'm approved, I'm hoping!

So yeah, I think the questions they ask would be very specific pertaining to your situation (like mine was more towards determining my preconceived intent, didn't really ask much about our relationship. We brought four photo albums and she only took a look at the wedding album). Good luck to the rest of you!

So yeah, I think the questions they ask would be very specific pertaining to your situation (like mine was more towards determining my preconceived intent, didn't really ask much about our relationship. We brought four photo albums and she only took a look at the wedding album). Good luck to the rest of you!
