Received EAD yesterday.

This morning came to the Social Security Administration office to show them because we applied for SSN back in January but they couldn't verify with the USCIS.

Well, with the EAD this morning, they approved the social security card and said it will be mailed in 2 weeks.

Tomorrow is to interview for green card.

On a side note, I thought it was gonna take longer to get SSN, but I received the card pretty fast. Got my EAD last Wednesday and applied for SSN on Thursday. I got the card in the mail on Monday--thought it was gonna take 1-2 weeks to get here. Not complaining though! :D

Wow that is quick!

I received my EAD Saturday but haven't went to the social security office yet, it's a 45 min drive and my husband is only off on Thursdays and Fridays so I have to wait!

Did this happend to any of you guys?!

So i got a email on friday the 17 saying they my ead went to production , so i went and check the case online and it says on the case status , on my april 17 you ead went to production bla bla bla!

So today in the morning i got another email saying the my ead card was sent to the production again today april 22, so when i went to the web site to check my case status it says the my ead card was sent to production today on the 22 of april ! Im confused now :(

That happens regularly. The next email you will get will be that the card has been mailed to the address on file. Nothing to worry about!

Happened to me too, later that night I got another update saying it was mailed, and I received it within 2 days as they sent it with priority mail

Sure.

So I am taking my original submission (copies), plus all original documents (birth certificates, marriage license etc), EAD

Plus

Birth certificate of our daughter

Letter stating I am beneficiary on my husbands life insurance

Insurance card for our car with both of our names (even though I don't drive yet and have no ssn yet, they had no problem adding me)

Lease of our home with both our names on it

A photoalbum with about 50 photo's of us throughout the years

A few cards with both our names sent to us by family

Bank statements with both our names on it

Interview today and it was really easy. Both of us in the same room with the interviewer, she asked my wife

name

date of birth

the address

who does my wife live with

asked my wife for her mother name

flipped through the albums and the interviewer loved our wedding pictures.

After answering a bunch of those national security questions of (yes/no) then she told us that we passed the interview and should receive the green card in 2 weeks. The interview lasted for about 15 minutes. She asked for some supporting evidence so I provided her the income tax return, bank stament and health care that both our names on it. She also liked our pictures so much that she asked for 4 to keep.

Later in the day, I received text message and USCIC online updated the news, the greencard is in production mode.
