i have a question, is there a separate fee for Employment authorization? coz we sent in $1070 and it was cashed last MArch 27 but we received a letter asking for another fee for EAD

Not sure if it is different for you because I did my AOS from tourist visa but the total of the 3 checks I needed to sent was close to $1500.

Day 59 03/21/2013 Interview at 10.30 am Seattle Approved

Day 67 03/29/ 2013 Greencard Arrived . Applied for SSN

Day 68 03/30/2013 EAD arrived

err.. we called uscis and there's no problem with the check or the payment.

i just forgot to sign the form! :bonk:

oh well, we will send another I-765 form with my signature on it. :D

There is a pride most will never understand, it is a series of late night phone calls, I miss yous, see ya laters, sexy dress blues, lots of tears, endless prayers, care packages & love letters, countdowns, homecomings, best friends you've never met, dog tags, Skype dates: a military thing, you will never understand.

Our biometrics is coming up next week finally. Just didnt want to risk driving 1.5 hrs for a walk in.

Those of you who did walk ins / had their biometrics done... Any updates?

I had my biometrics appointment last Friday, and it was a very pleasant experience. The staff was super-friendly and calmed me down when I came 5 minutes too late to my appointment, because I had waited in the wrong waiting room :blush: It took less than 10 minutes to get done with everything. I haven't had any case updates as of yet, nor do any of my cases show up on the USCIS-website.

I can see my status updates online, but haven't signed up for alerts yet. Still waiting for the NOA1 hard copies. I tidied up the two copies of the application packet yesterday and prepared folders for any additional updates. I've also been thinking about the extra paperwork one has to do when once receives the EAD and/or the green card. I know I sound super optimistic :), but I just want to be ready. Seen these online:

- Update I-9 form with employer

- Update driver's license to get rid of the legend, ""temporary for one yr or until H1 validity..."

- Update immigration status on Social Security Card to get rid of words, "requires INS authorization"

- Update banking profile

- Start filing taxes as immigrant instead of non-immigrant (I've been a "resident for tax purposes" for a while now, so I'm not sure how this changes.)

- Report changes of address to USCIS using the AR-11 form

Sent in our stuff a week ago. Waiting patiently for any kind of reaction.... -_-

Just an update for those following on this thread:

I just checked my case status to see if it was finally working and only the I-485 works and its at testing and interview!!

It says if I don't get an interview date 30 days from when the notice was sent out to call them! Woohoo.. Interview in the near future, maybe ? I hope so.. :yes: keeping checking your statuses guys!

Liz, I was wondering about one thing: Did you also get an e-mail/text saying that your case was at "Testing and interview", or can you only see it on the USCIS website?
