This data reflects the December 2012 trend.

http://dashboard.uscis.gov/index.cfm?formtype=6&office=2&charttype=2

I-129 F California Service Center Volume

All Other Pending: 10,929

Awaiting customer action: 438

Completions: 484

Receipts: 1,443

I-129 F Vermont Service Center Volume

All Other Pending: 16,531

Awaiting customer action: 1,468

Completions: 3,351

Receipts: 1,461

If this is accurate, looks like Vermont is way ahead in terms of the amount of petitions they were able to process. Good news for VSC filers! :) Not so much for CSC... :(

It's not that easy...the numbers move around all the time. For example, if you went back to July/August, CSC was doing over 3000 per month while VSC was under 2000, so what you see today could be completely different next month.

If this is true is there a way that we can request that our packet go to VSC instead of CSC? We are filing in March. :P

Yes, that's true. And that data reflects the December processing. It's almost March! But that data is what's available so that's what I'm looking at. :)

I'm not sure about that... Sorry. :innocent:

And like what magical said, the numbers do move around all the time. :) Who knows? Maybe even if you'd file in March and it would be sent to VSC, you could get approved in no time at all! Wouldn't that be nice?

It's going to be bad for January and February as well, based on VJ data:

www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/414397-csc-seems-take-longer-to-process/

www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/415853-the-differences-between-csc-and-vsc-noa-2s/

And until CSC starts showing a few NOA2's a day, the time to Noa2 will only increase, other than the few lucky ones.

Our original filing went to VSC since we live in NJ, but low and behold, it ended up at CSC a few weeks later due to workload balancing, so they try to make it as efficent as possible. They do screw up sometimes however such as in 2010 when a bunch of filings were sent to Texas to spread the load, and virtually every one of those filings was delayed, delayed, delayed, but I think they learned from that mess and things have been relatively smooth since then.

Not at CSC since December.

Ha ha, well, I'm affected by it, so in my boredom waiting around, I started really scrutinizing the VJ data.

And it still does not look pretty. :clock:

*** Thread moved from K-1 Process forum to USCIS Service Centers forum -- topic involves comparative processing times. ***

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
