Hello VJ family member,

You can look at our Time processing Table

It took time and it was not easy to wait as it took much time to get NOA2.

We were in Mexico on our vacation when we got it.

Go to our Profile but also I think everything depends also on their amount of cases I mean quantity of Filers in their office

and countries can be. It took us some months of waiting seems seven. So try to be just patient.

It is on the process. Usually if they need something additional they would require it upon receiving not after some months.

Thanks for sharing.

What happens after NOA 2.

What are the specific docs or forms needed in the Packet 3?

Can i start to work on this while i wait for NOA2?

Your noa1 is a bit over 2 weeks ahead of mine,so that's like month and a half to two months difference in receiving noa2, right? lol

No I don't think so. When is your NOA1? Some people from August are getting approved already. We should hear something this next weeks!

Hey there!

Thanks for sharing. Could you share with us what are all the forms and questions and evidence or documents we need to start preparing for Packet 3.

I guess maybe this will help keep my mind of having to wake up another day with no NOA2 response.

Congrats on your NOA 2

Kingsley

No problem! First of all, this is your packet 3 info: http://photos.state.gov/libraries/canada/303578/montreal/packet3-k1-mtl.pdf

Second of all, this thread has been one of great value for the NVC-interview booking numbers/wait times.

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/327503-canada-immigration-k1-guide-for-montreal/

Now I'll list what I sent in with my packet 3:

- cover letter detailing everything included in the packet

- Form DS-230, Part 1 [i included the unfilled part 2 and then I had two supplemental sheets for questions that didn't have enough room]

- Form DS-156 [2 copies, and again I had two supplemental sheets]

- Form DS-156K [see note below regarding the fact that it says "please send in these forms"]

- Form DS-160 copy confirmation [you fill this out online]

- Packet 3 Checklist for K-1 Fiancee Visa Applicants [this is basically a list that says "please confirm that you have these things ready for your interview. I didn't actually have them all, but I know I'll get them before the interview time. I only signed it and entered the needed info; I didn't checkmark every thing]

- 2 color photographs

I had zero issues, everything was accepted.

- DS-230 can be filled out ahead of time, just don't date it

- make sure you sign and date any supplemental sheets you send it.

- DS-156 is filled out online and then printed out with a barcode. You could technically fill it out ahead of time and just not sign it. However, I recommend you simply print it out and write out your answers so it's quick to fill out the online form when you're ready to mail it out.

- DS-156 can be completed ahead of time. No signatures needed. It does list a whole bunch of things that you should mail in with it...only you don't have to. You will bring those with you to the interview. Just to be safe I included photocopies of my passport biographical page, police certificate, and birth certificate.

- DS-160 is filled out online. Wait till you're ready. I used this guide: http://www.***removed***/visas/ds-160-usa-visa-form-guide.html and simply created a WORD document with ready answers. Regarding a digital passport photo, I simply scanned the ones I was mailing in, and attached that.

- Packet 3 Checklist. You can get your case number as soon as your application is logged in to NVC. Courier service can be registered for ahead of time also. The instructions on how to do that are in the first link I provided.

I used an xpresspost envelope to mail it to the embassy; for me it was like $16. I consider it a good expense to make. Your packet (at least in Montreal) will sit in the mail room for a week. I received Packet 4 as an email.

If you guys have more questions, don't hesitate to ask on here or PM me. I am happy to help!
