Hi,

Visa Journey has been very helpful to submit all of the paperwork to start the process of getting my alien wife residence/citizenship. We received a notice for most recent tax return for the I-864 affidavit of support. Last year my income was not sufficient, but my 2012 tax return which I have not received yet definately qualifies. If I wait for the IRS to send my official tax return the deadline for submitting the tax returns will pass.

Should I send a copy of my full 2012 tax return that I filed and a copy of my w-2?

Any help will be much appreciated.

Thanks

Do you mean 2012 tax transcript?? If so, go to the closest IRS office TODAY and ask for the transcript and you will have it in five minutes, asuming you filed your return at least a week or two ago. If you just filed, then, yes, use your 1040 with all the supporting documentation. BUt in either case, don't wait for the transcript in the mail at this point.

Yes i do mean my 2012 tax transcript. I had filed my tax return jointly with my wife this week along with W-7 and supporting documents, so I am affraid I did not do this in time to get the transcript in time.

Thanks for the help I will do this.
