Do I need to worry about a mistake in address?

Hi,

My 130 is currently sitting in NVC, they say since Feb 7 (I got the approval back in december).

I have noticed a dropped letter in the address, the street name. I have been calling them weekly

with the idea to both get status and to correct the error before they send out the packet to

my wife, but they keep telling me "it has not been entered yet". My nightmare is that they will

enter it, then send the packet to a bad address and get bounced before I can fix it. I know

from previous experience sending my wife packages that the post office there will hold packages

for any reason, even if they know quite well where it is going. They previously held up a

delivery because the middle name got shortened to a single letter by the USA post office.

I personally suspect the real reason rhymes with "tribe" :-) but my wife refuses to think badly

of anyone in her country.

Thanks,

Scott

I am confused. You had NOA2 in December and you haven't got your case# yet? When was the last time you called NVC? They won't be snail mailing anything to you. Once you get case# the rep will ask for petitioner and beneficiary's emails so no worried.

But this time lag at NVC something isn't right.

Have you read all you need to do at NVC? I suggest coming to the NVC filers thread and reading post #1 and post #2. And calling NVC they are open until midnight eastern time.

Packets do not get sent in the mail, everything is done through email. You should be calling the NVC for your case number. Did you get NOA2 in the mail?

I call them weekly, and each time am told that "it was received, but not entered into the system".

My wifes email didn't appear on the forms, nor was there a place to put it. The NOA2 (the approval) was received in December.

It would actually be a good idea to send to the applicant for the via email, since many countries outside the US have poor mail

service.
