I'm in the same boat as you. Have been waiting for NOA2 from VSC for my wife and stepson's I-130 petitions since 7/19/2012. That's 7 months and 8 days. :(

I was feeling good when USCIS was estimating 5 months to NOA2, then had a sinking feeling when December came and went, then January, now February and still no NOA2. :crying:

It is a crime that the US government keeps families separated for such unreasonable lengths of time. I am only able to visit my wife and stepson in their country every few months, and my son hasn't been with his stepmother and stepbrother since last summer. At least there is Skype. Thank goodness for that! Still, in many ways, we all feel like our lives and our dreams are on hold. It's just not fair.

Believe me, I feel your pain. Hang in there. After this much waiting, you and me have both got to be nearing the finish line for NOA2.

hi...yes waiting is really difficult...have you tried calling USCIS up? When we were already 5 months and a week from waiting my fiance called up USCIS and their answer was 'they were waiting for clearance from IRS' and then less than 2 weeks after that our approval arrived...

Hang in there...GOD BLESS YOU

we are now expecting our first baby! :goofy: (L) :dancing: (F) :star:  :jest:

sorry some typo..it was supposed to be just IRS...:), i believe its Internal Revenue Service - the U.S. government agency responsible for tax collection and tax law enforcement.

When my fiance called up the personnel told him something like "we are waiting for clearance from the IRS" perhaps, aside from IBIS (Interagency Border Inspection System)for security check on both petitioner & beneficiary, they are already performing background check on the petitioner's financial stats...Ive also read that if there are some problems with IBIS 'hit' it takes longer because they would have to perform some more checking....yes at this point there could be a lot of reasons why...sorry to hear for the long wait...but it does test out our love much more....GOD BLESS YOU...
