How to avoid rape!

Rape is not about the sex, rather its about the attacker getting off on dominating the victim and extorting control over the victim.

So if the victims behaving in a way that would be 'unpleasant' or unconducive to the attackers sexual gratification like urinating or vomiting, its not going to stop the attack, because the goal of the attack is not for the attacker to achieve sexual gratification through the sexual act itself but through the domination of the force and control.

+1 Also there are crazies out there that probably like that sort of thing.

This has got to be some of the most prolific examples of the society of weakness, dependence, ignorance and just plain stupidity that we in this country are turning into more and more everyday. I'm referring to the majority of the posts I've just read on here. It's unbelievable and never ceases to amaze me what some people think and believe. I am a man, 32 yrs old. I have a concealed carry permit in the state of Tennessee and have for several years. Luckily, I've never had to use it and I'm thankful for that. I'm also extremely thankful for my right to be able to protect myself and anyone who might be with me at the time. I carry my handgun everywhere I'm legally allowed. When my fiancee' moves here from Canada, we will be buying her a handgun and getting her legal to carry as soon as possible. If she is ever in the situation where someone tried to rape her (and I sincerely hope she's not...I can't imagine what a terrifying horrible experience that must be for anyone to go through) I have always told her, if you can reach a gun, don't just shoot the attacker once...shoot till you run out of bullets. If you can reach a knife, cut his throat if you can...or any other part of his anatomy that might be exposed at the time! I want my soon to be wife, to be ready, willing, able and prepared to deal with a situation like that should it arise, and trust me, she will be prepared in every way possible. And for all you absolutely ignorant people who suggest "Vomiting and urinating on your attacker" I suggest the following; I would pay money to see you people locked in a jail cell with a very large individual named "Bubba" (just for giggles) who hasn't had any sexual contact with anyone for a number of years and who isn't very particular where he sticks it, just so long as it's a human hole, male or female, and you would then be able to test your own advice in that situation...vomit on him, urinate on him...I'd be very anxious to see where this approach gets you...especially the men! Food for thought! I would also like to add a few points and later some statistics in regards to concealed carry in general and on college campuses. "Gun Free Zones" have to be the most laughable concept to any person who is not a law biding citizen or someone who has a mental disorder such as the shooter in the Connecticutt school shooting and the shooter in the Colorado movie theater, both of which I might add were "Gun Free Zones". Mass shooters target these places for a reason...they know there's very slim possibility of anyone else inside being armed! I've never heard of any of them walking into a police station shooting it up? Wonder why? Could it be that maybe they know policemen are armed? Another example is the case of the cities of Chicago and Washington DC, both of which are "Gun Free Zones" and have the highest crime rates, especially murders committed with guns. Our president and some members of congress and even some rather ignorant citizens say that tougher gun laws and more gun control are what's needed to fix these problems. My question is, how in the world do any amount of gun laws stop or prevent gun violence in places that are already "Gun Free Zones"? There should never be any guns there because it's against the law? Right? The problem is, when you pass any law in society, be it guns or whatever, the only people those laws affect are the law biding citizens! I've never heard of a single incident where a law biding, legal, registered, concealed carry permit holder, committed a mass shooting? I have however, heard several times of a concealed carry permit holder PREVENTING or STOPPING one of these mass shooting situations. I can also guarantee that you won't see those situations publicized by our EXTREMELY left wing biased news media. President Obama and his socialist democrat supporters want gun control, therefore the news media gives him the coverage he wants instead of reporting both sides such as when a mass shooting or similar incident is prevented or stopped by someone who is legally carrying a gun. If the president wants gun control, he should first set an example himself by removing every single last gun that protects him on daily basis, since guns are not the answer in his opinion. I wonder if he would support such a recommendation? The evidence is overwhelming in showing that places where gun ownership and gun carry rights exist, the overall crime rate and the violent crime rate are signifigantly lower and in a lot of cases it's drastically, incredibly lower. My fiancee' lives in St John's Newfoundland. It's a nice place...except when you look at thier crime rate. Guns in Canada especially where she lives in St Johns are almost non existant, yet the crime rate is absolutely ridiculous. The amount of break-ins, assaults, robberies and muggings is astounding. I'm not sure if it's Newfoundland or all of Canada, but I know in St John's there is another lovely little concept up there that protects the criminals. If someone breaks in your house in the middle of the night, you're not allowed to do ANY harm to that person inside your house...all you're allowed to do is call the police unless that person is directly visibly threatening your life and you are in immediate danger of being killed! Here in Tennessee, you don't hear of this situation happening too much. Not many people are actually dumb enough to break in an occupied house here at any time of the day or night as it would more than likely be a death sentence. I've had someone ask me before, "would you really shoot someone who broke into your house?" My answer is simple. HELL YES! If they enter my house, they are paid for! SIMPLE! I've not gonna ask them to stay for coffee, try and pick thier brain to figure out if they just want my fiancee's jewelry or if they intend to do us physical harm. Yes, I am a lover and believer of guns and yes, I believe if more law biding citizens were armed and allowed to carry in these gun free zones, crime rates in this country would plummet. Instead, our president and the Dept of Justice were discussing "mandatory gun buy back programs" a.k.a. "GUN CONFISCATION". And to anyone who thinks this can't happen, refer back to a guy most people have heard of known as Adolf Hitler who confiscated Germany's guns in one of his first steps to conquer the world. And to anyone who thinks banning guns is the answer, refer to England and thier gun ban a few years ago...this was published by Joyce Lee Malcolm of The Wallstreet Journal..."Within a decade of the handgun ban and the confiscation of handguns from registered owners, crime with handguns had doubled according to British government crime reports. Gun crime, not a serious problem in the past, now is. Armed street gangs have some British police carrying guns for the first time". I think allowing legal gun carry on college campuses is a wonderful idea and I'm including some statistics here to back it up... please read this article:

Actually Hitler did not confiscate Germany's guns. In reality, he loosened the gun control laws already in place. Your quote of this fallacy tells me where you're getting your information from. It maybe just plain wrong, as the Hilter quote is, or it may be cherry picked, to take that which supports their cause while the information in the same source that may counter the position is ignored and not reported. Don't get me wrong here, I actually believe in your views that the proposed limiting of clip size, semi-auto scary looking guns, and gun free zones will do nothing to solve the problem. There is no evidence to show it will work, and a fair amount of evidence showing it doesn't work in countries that have done it. As to the fear in the gun owning community that their guns are going to be taken away from them, no other country is protected by the second amendment. That is going to keep those guns right were they are and stop gun confiscation. Put another way, you're falling for scare tactics put forth by the right, as much as those that want to remove guns are falling for scare tactics from the left.
