Hello everyone. We have been reading the forums and we are kind of confused and worried. We need some help please. We didnt know that we had to send any other documents (for example; pictures) when we sent the I-129F form to USCIS office. Did we do something that will make the processing take longer by not sending anything else but the form itself? Thanks a lot for your answers.

Did you send the G-325, passport photos, intent to marry letters (from both of you), and evidence of meeting within the past 2 years? If not then you will get an RFE which will delay the process but not by that much depending on how quickly you get the information back to them.

Like Hank_ said, wait for the RFE but have those documents ready in hand to send right away.

Expect maybe another two weeks from the day you send in the forms for them to get back at you.

People keep stating you will get an RFE.. but if you only sent the I-129F form and check, you might just get an outright denial. You could try and send your NOA1 receipt with an explanation and the other required documents and see if they could possibly be matched up with your form(a long shot), or simply withdraw your petition and refile. This would save you time instead of waiting many months only to get denied. Be sure to follow the guide here and read the I-129F instructions so you can be sure to include everything needed the second time around.
