I'm leaving in a few days to meet my girlfriend for the first time. I have been downloading forms and researching for months but I have not been able to find a good answer to one question.

About 15 years ago, my ex wife and I got into a huge fight, she literally clawed my arms up and other things while I tried tocalm her down. She ended up calling 911 and I was arrested for domestic violence. After a month of councelling and my ex telling them I never actually hit her, the charges were dropped to public disturbance and I pleaded guildy to get it over with.

Do I put this on my criminal record section?

Thanks in advance.

The short answer is yes...

Agreed, there is no down-side to answering yes and lots of bad if answered no and actually was yes on their records.

The USCIS has access to records that many here do not believe, even all those "sealed court records" are available to them.

We have seen it before. Be very careful and offer all information.

OK, I will do that. But it does say conviction. I was never convicted of domestic violence, just arrested for. Public disorder is yelling, spitting or playing loud music also. But guess it is better to note it than to wait and see what they say.
