Probably not. What's the "Liberia" of the Palestinian people?

Exactly.

Liberia is Liberia, There is plenty more room.

A few of the slaves may have come from the "area" of Liberia, most didn't.

So it's not like they were being returned to where they came from.

If you consider any where in Africa "close enough"

Liberia is only 7 hours away from Israel by plane

PS the indigenous people of the area now called Liberia didn't want the former slaves taking over

there territory so they had to be pushed out of the way

Yes now I see it!

The Jews are analous to the former slaves

The Palestinians are simply being pushed out of the way.

Israel is the Jews Liberia

Look up the history of Liberia - rough overview will do. You will find out - among other things - why their capital is called Monrovia. Freed slaves and the fifth President of the United States have a little something to do with that. All that happened of course before Abe made the statement you quoted here. Once you have a bit of an idea about why Liberia is significant in relation to freed American slaves, you can try and contextualize the remark made by Abe. And then you can discover just how ridiculous your earlier post really is.

Or you can continue to post stupid stuff on issues you quite obviously know absolutely nothing about. Your choice.

The analogy in the OP works as well viewing Palestinian leadership as also slave owners. Got to give them some credit for the situation as well.

Feel Free (he he) to point out something you disagree with. Are you saying I took the quote "out of context"? I didn't say Abe came up with the idea, I only quoted him.

I'm sure if we worked at it we could also do a "holocaust" comparison.... but that to would be really reaching.

I think maybe you didn't understand my post.

It's possible. I tried to respond to your statement of-

<<<As for the occupation... it's almost over anyway, as the morphing into the next stage is nearing completion: a single apartheid state. >>>

I was trying to goad you into committing to a date when it "would be over".

:innocent:

Gun nuttery killed more than that plus the number of all other American war casualties since the country was founded. And it did that in just the last 4 decades. Thanks to gun nuttery, that tree of liberty has been getting plenty of food over those last 4 decades. More than all the wars this country has ever fought could provide - combined.

Now, now, now, we can pull up lots of examples of countries which in one way or another people are killed by the score all without a second amendment. (or even guns)

An unreal amount of gun deaths are suicides.... can you really call these folks "casualties of Gun nutters" because they choose a bullet rather than opening up their veins?

The truth is: most often it is Big-gov ...creating cauldrons of dysfuntion and violence. I mean you look at the parts of our society which have the most Gov't involvement and the most Death, crime, failure, and they are one in the same.

The worst places are NOT those places where Gov't has yet to minister it's healing touch....... nnnnno, it those areas where Gov't is most involved in the lives and families and communities.

Gun nutters aint the problem..... unless to you, having a means to repel the swarm is the problem.

This is how you answered me:

I admire people who cling to hope.....

But finish this sentence for me and we shall judge your optimism.

I WOM would bet my house and life savings .... that the Occupation will end by _______.

If I am right I will collect that same amount.

Wann play?

So you thought I was being "optimistic" in "hoping" for a single apartheid state.

I quoted what you posted. Clear lack of context in your quote of ole' Abe. Plain and simple.

Yeah, you quoted me and then went rambling on about Monrovia. Now could you please say clearly do you agree or disagree that there is enough room in Liberia to hold all the Palestinians.

I didn't ramble. I just wanted to share with you that there was a specific context to Abe making the remark about freeing the slaves and sending them to Liberia. You seemed to be unaware of that context so I thought I'd help you out by pointing you in the right direction.

Why is Liberia in any way relevant to the Palestinians? There is enough room in the US to accommodate all Palestinians. Same for Canada, Russia and many other places on earth. In fact, there is enough room to accommodate the Palestinians where they are right now and where they have been for centuries. Why should they be moved away from where they are?

Now you're being coy. Liberia is a country set up for the benefit of former slaves. If as the article suggests the Palestinians are slaves. Then you free them they will be former slaves.

1+1=2

You're premise is incorrect. Liberia is not a country set up for the benefit of former slaves. Back to the history book you go.
