If they go in order, as you say, how do you explain the lucky few who get approved in shorter than average time? Working cases in order is not the (whole?) story. There are more vagaries built into (arising in spit of?) this system, so that first-come, first-served is at best a "goal".

I agree. It is all hypothetical. It is not as if any of us have decision-making authority.

As far as a war-zone of personal attacks... I haven't seen that. There are have been a couple of shots across the bow, but on the whole people seem to be keeping it civil.

IF you read the ENTIRE thread from start to finish, each and every response, you would see what was going on here. The OP has been ignoring posts given by several members including links to clear up the OP's misunderstandings about certain things to help ease their mind (which of course helps to explain why others disagree with OP) yet they refute with different thoughts. I'm beginning to think either the OP is a troll or they genuinely are ignoring posts of others and selectively replying to others just to justify their opinions.

Stick to the facts, not your opinions. You've been given very good responses from several members. This thread is now redundant and baseless.

So, don't read it any more. (No offense intended... this is just what I do when a thread starts to bore me.) Some of us are still into the baseless musings. Let us have our fun.

I may have missed page 6 or so, but I have read pretty much the entire thread. After 5 or 6 pages I skipped to the end.

I don't get the impression that the OP is a troll. Maybe he is selectively ignoring posts. Maybe he has an agenda. It is all just sort of a hypothetical rant. Maybe not enjoyable for everyone, but I was having a little bit of fun. Think of it as a chat over beer.

Thank you for playing.

Actually all I wanted was OPINIONS of other members, not FACTs...

Is this an opinion or a fact?

Couldn't agree with you more  Not sure why people take everything so serious... Maybe I should have just asked them, would you or would you not pay an extra fee to expedite your processing time? B-)

Yep. And they forget that most threads like this one just die of their own. Even those of us who are interested will get bored eventually. Talk about not having patience :)

It's fine. My main issue with OP is that he/she seems to enjoy instigating mini-arguments with forum members who are very serious in this matter and they seem to have made this into a laughing matter. It's been explained many times in simple terms-WAIT YOUR TURN. What more? Like previous members said, if they have a fee to expedite, EVERYONE would do it because they ALL want their SO to be here with them. Then what's the point? There will still be the SAME long line because EVERYONE will be in line to expedite. He/she says they wanted opinions of other forum members, well the overwhelming majority doesn't like OP's idea. Simple. I wonder if this all makes sense to the OP. Maybe you're right, he/she might have an agenda.

Anyway, life's short. If OP wants to spend their time moping about the system and not planning effectively for their future, that's their choice.

I feel for you and hope to God I don't find myself in your shoes. It is situations like yours that inspire compassion in me. Good luck and Godspeed. I hope you get some sort of answer soon; you deserve IMHO.

And that, even though you are at VSC ;) Crips and Bloods, y'all :)

What!?!? Since when? Do you have any proof to that?

First have a look here: http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/monthly_filers.php?form=1&visa=1&scenter=1&option=2&sortby=2

In the last month there have been less than 15 visajourney members approved in the last month in CSC.

You can compare to Vermont center: http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/monthly_filers.php?form=1&visa=1&scenter=2&option=2&sortby=2

There 15 members have been approved within 6 days. This already shows that CSC is not doing mass processing.

Now if you scan the content of the members who were approved at CSC in the last month, you will find that nearly all of them talk about having used congressional assistance at some point.

That may not be a proof but it's quite of an evidence.

Companies can use premium processing, individuals can not. I am surprised that nobody gets mad at the corporations that can pay expedite fee and get visas for their employees expedited. But if an individual suggests expedite fee for family based visas that's a big NO?

Yep, all the talk about "preference for the rich" is just a bunch of hot air.

Exactly. All in the name of not being able to hire STEM professionals. Being a STEM professional myself, I can only say that, yes there is work to be had, but I would much prefer to invest either in existing citizens/residents or bringing family members who can fill the role (I personally know of at least 2 who fit this bill), instead of allowing corps to pay lower than prevailing wage to bring indentured servants over (yes, I am being intentionally hyperbolic).

"There's no way it should be this hard. People come here all the time and they don't pay or wait." Well those people are called illegal immigrants.

Illegal Immigrants, or a citizen of a country that is participating in the Visa Waiver Program (currently 37 countries + Canada).

My understanding is a national of any of these countries will enter the USA without a visa, and if gets married to a USC, will apply for adjustment of status. He/she will need to leave the country to receive the actual immigrant visa from outside the US, but he/she is living with his USC husband/wife while waiting.

So? if you want to avoid the long processing time of K-1, fall in love with someone from one of these 38 countries.

I suspect this thread is a troll, but:

There is already a fast track system for people who pay more. Its called "getting a good attorney".

I think it is a matter of opinion if it really helps. Of course the lawyers think so :-)
