There should be a VIP line for K1 processing

There is a "VIP K1" already. Join the military, serve the country and get your petition expedited.

Yeah, that's a little bit different than simply throwing money at the process, isn't it? If someone wants to leave their families for long periods of time and risk their life for my safety, then by all means, jump ahead of me in line. It's the least I could do.

A senator or congressman is generally contacted when the petition is already outside of normal processing times. They aren't jumping ahead of anyone.

I love a good conspiracy theory. What do you think they're hiding from us?

Just that the senators or better say their proxies have their own judgement about what is inside or outside normal processing time. Like mine wouldn't want to look at it but some other people who filed after me have been already approved with senators help.

When did you file?

Evylin. Hardly dramatics here baby doll. It's OKAY to miss someone.

You can keep the condescending nicknames for someone else. Doesn't work on me.

Nobody's telling you it's not okay to miss someone. What we're telling you is that you will survive WHILE missing someone. It sucks, but it's such a short period of time in the grand scheme of things. You have an entire life with someone to look forward to and plan for, and instead we're focusing on the year it takes for them to get to the US? Really?

Why is it easier for a K-1 beneficiary to get here as opposed to a CR-1 spouse? It never made sense to me.

Probably because the CR-1 is an immigrant visa, while a K-1 is not (they become immigrants only if they marry the petitioner within 90 days, else they are to leave the country).

Look at the few petitions being processed out of order in the last month at CSC. All of them asked for congressional help. So if the Senator in your state happens to be nice you are jumping the line. Is that fine? Better than expedite fee? That's only something we already know. How about the stuff that's not made public?

They do not expedite any case that is total myth.

Senator's office would only touch your case when you have been waiting more than usual time. Again even when they do get involved its not like expedite so and so case they are from my city, they normally only ask the USCIS what is holding up the case?

It is not easy, both of them go through pretty much the same process.

Have you seen number of K1 denials?

Everyone wants the process to go faster. Everyone misses their significant other. But my goodness, let's stop acting like being apart for months is a life or death situation here.

So many people focus on the damn wait and do nothing else. Look how many people post "k1 approved, got married, what now??!"

Do your research. Prepare for the next steps. Prepare for moving to another country or prepare for having someone move to your country to be with you. This visa process is such a blip on the radar of your relationship. It sucks at the time, but when it's over, it's OVER.

Stop with the dramatics, live your life, your turn will come. We've all waited, we all somehow survived. You will too.

There is so much more to concern yourself with than a few months wait. Seriously. Marriage and adjusting to a new life is the hard part, the visa's a piece of cake.

Just that the senators or better say their proxies have their own judgement about what is inside or outside normal processing time. Like mine wouldn't want to look at it but some other people who filed after me have been already approved with senators help.

What!?!? Since when? Do you have any proof to that?

Did you read what Evylin wrote ENTIRELY? Your comment is uncalled for.

When did you file?

I agree. I'm curious to know when they filed too.

Dude don't get bitter at Evylin... there is a process for K1 and it takes certain amount of time.

You are free to visit your fiance as many time as you want during the process noone is asking you to miss her or him.
