Selfishness, everyone wants their chance at the right time

its understandable but ppl claiming they cant living without

each other they no life together yet or kids, then the foreign mate

should move to their country.

This is just nonsense. Why should I as an American citizen HAVE to relocate to be with my loved ones?? That I might have to given the way things are is one thing, but that this is the RIGHT answer is just wrong. Think about what you are saying.

I disagree. A K-1 should be be under more scrutiny because of the high incidence of fraud, the high incidence of K-1 beneficiaries arriving and not filing AOS in a timely manner. Not planning for the I-864 and the fees for the process. Without a doubt there should be increased scrutiny and guidelines. Why is it easier for a K-1 beneficiary to get here as opposed to a CR-1 spouse? It never made sense to me.

I agree with you. Its been 279 days for me and my hubby. We are May filer, it is hard in my part to see recent filers getting an approval. An expedite approval is difficult to get because of the requirements.

We are coping because we have each other but waiting time is not easy for everyone. I understand we are here to enlighten, strengthen and encourage one another.

Wanting to be together real bad Y not wait the rocess out in their country

it make sense to me, many who have bans have done so.

No two situations are the same. If you have the luxury or the need to wait it out in the foreign country, cheers. Some of us do not have that luxury. I stated in my response to you that I see that going to live in Peru may very well be in my cards, depending on how everything pans out, but I can't just up and go. That may be one of the "perks" of being to low income to pay the expedite; maybe if income is so low that it doesn't matter whether you are here or there, you can just go... obviously this is too broad-stroked a statement and many who are low income couldn't even dream of going somewhere else and making it work.

As a K-1 filer, I wholeheartedly agree that CR-1 should be faster. You are already married. I don't think the K-3 should even have to exist. (K-3 is the married one, right?)

want a quicker processing time? get everything right the first time. (I'm not talking about K-1 vs CR-1, just individual processing times - otherwise it's just bad luck sorry)

people just want to complain because they think their wait, their relationship, their love is longer and involves more suffering than anybody else's case. there's a reason why I don't even read the threads that complain about the wait or even the ones about their foreign partner having committed visa fraud. Boo hoo.

I agree with what Evylin and whoever else's opinion coincides with his/hers. I also disagree with the OP. Besides, everybody would pay the expedite fee and we'll be back at square one.

Probably because the CR-1 is an immigrant visa, while a K-1 is not (they become immigrants only if they marry the petitioner within 90 days, else they are to leave the country).

so? they are coming with the intent to immigrate, they get to adjust status and stay

"get everything right the first time"? What are you talking about? We are waiting for someone to even look at our cases. That someone should have to wait 8 or 9 months to be told something is wrong with the application is completely wrong. Period. They should be told as soon as is humanly possible so that it can be rectified. Other government agencies have mandated timelines they MUST achieve. Why does USCIS not have the same requirement? We are talking about families here.

As a member of the 300+ club, tell me where to sign and I'll hand over the extra $$$.

Some things just lose your interest and sense of fun, given time

I understand your point, we are on 270 days tomorrow, other cases are worst than our situation there are April filers without NOA 2.

If only there is a medicine and pain reliever for this. It will be best seller.

Hey, I don't make up the rules. You get the green card faster anyways.

But if you don't like it, then why don't you do something about it.

Well that's presumptuous... are you saying that anyone with a long wait is responsible for the timeframe because of their own errors - sometimes, not always - I don't know how long you waited but every story is different. I have respect for other peoples circumstances and expect that people are going to be frustrated at long delays when there is no apparent reason. No one wants to spend their life complaining - I think they just want to get on with their lives.

Mar 2011 - After 5mths denied for lost docs - Attempts to follow up failed. Mar 18 2012 - I-129F sent - No sign of NOA1 but they have banked the check...Jul 24 - Update - USCIS has located our file
Infopass Apt - they sorted through everything - our 2011 and 2012 file keep getting mixed up - getting us a Case# (still waiting) Dec- Infopass Appt- expecting to get a case # in about a week ..Still no Case number

Mar 2013 Infopass - advised file was in a box somewhere, and it would be quicker for us to refile. Life gets in the way... New petition submitted July 2014 .
