Hi Guys

Need help regarding a few questions. I am an Indian resident. I recently got a new passport after taking my husband's name. I have a valid B2 visa on my old passport. I will be going to US in September for my MBA for which I will apply for the F1 visa.

On an F1 visa I cannot enter the US 30 days before the classes commence (which is September 23 in my case) but I have my sister's wedding on August 13th in Chicago and then I have to travel to Europe for my pre MBA trip. My questions are as follows:

1) Is my current B2 visa valid? Even though my old passport has been cancelled and the visa carries my maiden name.

2) If I get my F1 visa, will my B2 still be valid?

3) Can I enter the US in August first week on my B2 visa and exit US for my pre MBA trip and enter US again in September first week on my F1 visa?

Please guide me about these.

Thanks

S
