Hello, i have a question when they say that they need a document Original/Certified does this mean that it has to be "inextensa" as it's called in my country or is it something diffrent?

Also when my wife will go apply for her passport is it obligated for her to take her marriage certificate as well, so that way the passport says that she's married, or does this not make a diffrence...

When you get a birth certificate or marriage certified you will asked them to give you an "inextensa y legalizada"(certified).

As far as the passport goes, your wife is NOT obligated to take YOUR last name that is optional and a personal preference.. Now if YOU are the USC and have started the process and have filled out the form using your last name then it will be advisable to just continue using the married name as some confusions may come about with the document having different last names.

To get her passport she will need her birth certificate(inextensa y legalizada), passport photos 2x2 (2), cedula. The price was about 2,600 pesos for the VIP were you get it the same day. Not sure if they are still allowing for the other option were it is a little cheaper but you get the passport in 3 days. That was all my fiance needed to get his.

Regarding the passport, can someone explain the whole "impuestos" that she has to get at a banco popular, and then take the reciept to her closest place where they make the passports, how is she supposed to get this walking up to a clerk and telling them they need what??, i have also heard you need another one for the "Certificado de Antecedentes Penales" and also how is this "impuesto" called?

It's not banco Popular it is actually banco Reservas that's where these fees need to be paid at. For the "Certificado de Antecedentes Penales" it is $330 pesos. Most of the places were you have to pay for a services, even traffic tickets are paid this way. You pay at banco Resevas and then take the receipt back to have the services completed. They will let her know what she needs to do when she gets there and the banks know the process as well so she will be directed what is to be done.
