Seven months now and no NOA2 or even an RFE. I'm tired of calling USCIS only to be told, "We are processing July 18" (as they have been saying for the last two months !! despite many August and September petitions being approved) and to "Wait ____ weeks and you will hear something" and then after waiting ____ weeks, calling and being told the same thing again. Speaking to a Tier 2 agent has done nothing - in fact, they have often contradicted what the previous agent said. The online system doesn't let me put in a service request (because "my petition is not outside of the normal processing time" per the so-called July 18 processing date) Those few July filers who were able to do a service request received service request responses of "wait more," so service requests are useless.

So today I decided to contact my state senator's office and they are going to inquire on my petition. My NOA1 dates is July 26 and it has been 214 days.

Perhaps this won't do anything - perhaps it will. At this point what can it hurt? The only other option is wait...and wait...and wait.

Maybe if all of us July CSC filers contacted our congressmen it would put pressure on CSC to finish the July I-129F K-1 applications.

I wish you good luck with congressmen, senator's etc. I have done those as well as multiple service requests, 2 separate info passes and multiple calls to USCIS including tier 2. Basically USCIS does what they want, when they want and no amount of calling, harassing, begging or pleading does any good what so ever in my humble opinion. The congressmen did try to help by contacting the service center, but after weeks of waiting they got the same typical responses that I had been getting - "wait 30 - 60 days", "wait 120 days", and one reply came back and said "if you haven't heard anything in 6 months please contact USCIS at that time", if you can believe that response LOL. The system is unjust for USC's but it's "A Dream Act" for others.

I think it is definitely worth a try, what have you got to loose?

On the other hand, you are just another number in the system, and being a K1 filer, you are in a very "minor" minority group, vs the more preferred and larger minority groups with more clout. They really couldn't care less.

August 9th date here... and because there are so many July filers still waiting I have all but given up! Not seriously of course but its so heartbreaking.... life is in such limbo.. not knowing.. and yet it can be any day now and I have to then be available to do all that the next stage requires. Not a professional service at all... and yet we pay for it!

Another possible Government office to contact for assistance, http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/415740-cis-ombudsman/

Probably will result in a similar outcome to contacting Congressman, but doesn't hurt to try.

NOA1 - 8/24/2012

NOA2 - 3/18/2013 Only took 207 days at CSC

Well by now we are just kind of in a daze about all of this. And realizing more and more every day that Uncle Sam does what he wants, when he wants and doesn't do it if he doesn't want to. There's really not much we can do anymore, I keep trying, like filing another service request this past Friday. But if it's anything like the past one's I have filed, the only response I get is to wait, wait, wait and wait some more. Don't really get any solid info, just stuff like "waiting on a file" etc. It seems anything that is done takes months to accomplish. So I guess we have no alternative at this point. We could get married in the Phil, but then the process starts all over again and I really don't see the advantage of doing that. Very frustrating to say the least.

We're finished with the citizenship process, but it infuriates me, too. Look in the USCIS Service Centers forum (I think) for the thread started by "flaxen" -- the numbers for the DACA act are in there. Make your votes in the midterm Congressional/Senatorial races count, even though the culprit-in-chief himself can't directly be touched.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
