On January 28th 2013, the USCIS approved my husband I130 petition for my green card and the I-797 approval notice was emailed to him. Now, four weeks later, the National Visa Center tells us that it has not received the I-797 approval notice from the USCIS. My husband tried to call the USCIS to figure this out but he was not able to talk to anyone. Would you have any suggestion on how to proceed now?

Thanks for your help.

NVC will never receive the approval notice. They will receive the actual case file. He did the right thing to call USCIS. Navigating their phone menu can be tough. He needs to call during the week and pay special attention to the recordings to select the correct path to a person.

On January 28th 2013, the USCIS approved my wife I130 petition and the I-797 approval notice was mailed to me. Now it's been 1 & half month NVC still don't have a file, on Jan/27 I emailed NVC research the approved petition & I received an Email week later that they will contact USCIS on my behalf to see where is the file. Does anyone know how long it takes & if there is something I can do to speed up the process.

Thanks for your help.
