I-134, not much supporting evidence required?

Hi. I have held the same job for 15 years, and my salary alone has me well above the 125% of poverty line after accounting for my beneficiary and her son. I have ready the directions many times. It looks like the ONLY supporting evidence I need is the statement from my employer written on business letterhead that details my pay, my permanent nature of position, and date I began working for the company.

Since my pay is good, it looks like if I provide option "B" (statement from my employer), that I don't need recent pay stubs, or letters from the bank, or old tax returns.

What am I missing here?

Thanks again to all who offer feedback.

what you are missing is that the decision to issue a visa or not is made a person who does not know you or your fiancee and has no defined rules he has to follow in making that decision. while not much documentation is "required" neither is it required for them to issue a visa.

I would suggest, as a minimum, recent check stubs and the most recent year tax return with w-2s attached. The letter from the employer is optional. I provided recent check stubs, bank letter, employer letter and 1 year tax return. Too much? Maybe. Our visa was issued so I am happy.

I just included the employer letter as you described. I didn't include any paystubs. After all, you have your tax returns and W-2s. Again, this is what I did.

Best of luck!

I would definitely include more evidence than an employer's letter, at the very least tax return transcripts because it proves you actually MADE that money. Who's to say that your employer letter was made up and you actually don't make the money it claims you make?

Bottom line, have as MUCH evidence as you can to prove your case.

^^^ This... :thumbs::yes:

> Tax return(s) / W-2(s) / tax transcript(s) / employer's letter / paycheck stubs.
