Meanwhile in HK, we had a meal in the Sai Kung district, 3 adults and 1 child.

we had lobster, mantis prawns, giant tiger shrimps, a red fish of sorts, escargot, cuttlefish, a flowery crab, clams, oysters, and a couple of vegies and drinks. And it was sickeningly good.....

The grand total.....4900 HKD (about 600 USD)

I've been to China, Japan, and Vietnam, but still the strangest food I've ever eaten was "Brown Bread", which is a common food among the older generation in New England. I just couldn't get used to the fact that this bread comes in a can.

I lived in Canada and they used to sell it there, lol.... heavy and a bolder.....lol

The duck embryo part is my favorite part. The white part though is like chewing an old worn out piece of sun bleached tire. My wife loves it though and it happy to take that part off my hands.

Also my wife is a master at making soups. She never can give me a name for them though, its all just soup to her and she'll just start throwing things together until it made.

Here's one she taught me to make though, an egg drop misua soup.

I tried to eat balut once after a night of tequila shooters. The end result looked just like that egg drop soup.

I would guess the tequila had a part in creating the result, but balut could certainly help push it along

My wife goes crazy over dim sum. I personally don't care for it. She's also loves cooking up eggplant different ways. I've gotten her to try some of the different types, but she prefers the long asian variety.

More food from Hong Kong, defeating Malaysia in presentation, cleanliness, and taste. Here are some world class eggplants.....
