Why would they? Why would they set an NOA1 date, then wait months just to set an NOA2 date of slightly around other approvals? It doesn't serve to annoy anyone as trolls enjoy, if anything it just makes people more hopeful, and I don't think there's anything wrong with that.

Why? You just gave me the definition of a troll , that's what they do and do everything to make it as real as possible! Really more hopeful? of what? Seeing that a system that is supposed to be fair actually isn't? Nagging people in despair of being reunited with their loved one? If you had a little more experience in forums you would clearly recognize the trolls like i do.

I've got plenty of experience on forums, trolls don't go through that much effort to give people hope their petition from Sep/Oct will be filed earlier than they expect. What reason would they have for faking a timeline? It doesn't upset me to see Oct/Nov filers are being approved, I'm pretty sure it definitely doesn't upset Oct/Nov filers themselves.

K1 Timeline:

15th Feb 2013 - Mailed I-129F to CSC
21st Feb 2013 - NOA1

4th Jun 2013 - NOA2

7th Aug 2013 - Medical

5th Sep 2013 - Interview

Then we haven't been dealing with the same kind of trolls. For some of them it is like a full time job (as i believe that for being a troll at the beginning, you have nothing else to do with your life), i have been tricked by trolls in the past and i can tell you i would have never imagined they could go that far. This is my opinion and it only involves me, people can follow me and agree in my logic or not. My logic is that if july/august filers are being denied service requests, sometimes with the help of a representative (even though i can believe it has worked for some of them, lucky i guess) being said that they are still within the processing times, knowing that petitions are being treated in the order received, it seems just unbelievable that october filers or afterwards are being approved.

I am glad for you it doesn't upset you to see you are being cut in the line. I may understand you are happy for these people you don't even know (assuming what they are saying is true which i am not).

Read the first few pages of this and you might see why they are not approved in perfect order. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/55762-1st-post-former-nsc-adjudicator-now-petitioner/

If you look at CSC or VSC you will see approvals coming from about a 2-3 month range. As for the miracle approvals, some people actually qualify for expidite. Go look at all the approvals from Haiti at CSC. Others have suggested that some quick approvals happen during the training process of new employees. No idea if that's true, but seemed reasonable.

I am not talking about perfect orders because i know there are different adjudicators working at different speeds. This is why i don't get suspicious when i see august approvals and/or beginning of september, this is afterwards i don't believe it anymore unless expedited.

i know i have read that haiti people qualify for some kind of expedition, i am obviously not talking about the very few cases that qualify for expedition.

Anyway, my opinion

So what's to say that all of these people with wait times of 7-8 months aren't also trolls? (I'm not saying they are, I'm just saying how can you be so sure if you're that sure they'll go through that much effort.) That one actually makes more sense to me if either was true. It'd make more sense for trolls to pretend to have long wait times to make people sad/stressed than to have shorter ones and give people hope.

well what's the percentage of people waiting forever and of those being approved really fast? Who are the trolls now?

Why would they give hope because they maybe got lucky with their senator but for some reason someone else with a different senator didn't make it?

I have a July 19th NOA1, 2 weeks ago decided to contact one of my senators (Sherrod Brown of Ohio) to see if I could get any help. After filling out some forms, I was contacted by the senator's staff member asking to summarize the problem so that she could forward a request to USCIS. Here's what I sent:

I have attached a PDF with the two forms requested as well as a copy of the NOA1 I received in July (the number on the back of the NOA1 is the receipt number for when I called them in August to have them correct the country of birth on the NOA1 from unknown to the philippines to avoid that causing a problem later). I don't think an expedition request will do much as they are claiming it is not outside of normal processing time - but the normal processing time has increased by 4 months over the past 4 months with no sign of them starting to do work on the situation.

You can see this in the USCIS trends chart (included the link, but not allowed to post that here yet) in that normally the
CSC
processes ~1500 I-129F requests a month, but in december they did less than 500 and based on that processing date having not advanced since then, the january and february processed cases are likely even smaller.

What I want is for them to give me some information regarding how far along in the process my petition is, and when will it likely be processed so that we can start making plans regarding a wedding, etc. According to their own goals, this should have been processed more than 2 months ago.

Please let me know if you need any additional information.

On thursday I was sent a reply:

Your request to expedite the adjudication of this I129F petition was approved and the case has been assigned to an officer for adjudication. Your constituent should receive a notice of action* within 7-10 days.

Approved I-129F petitions will be sent via UPS delivery to the U.S. Department of State at the National Visa Center (
NVC
). If you have any questions about visa issuance, please contact the
NVC
directly. Your constituent should also notify
NVC
if there is a change in their personal situation or to provide a change of address for the petitioner and/or the beneficiary.

*A notice of action may be in a form of Approval Notice, Denial Notice, Transfer Notice, Request for Evidence, Notice of Intent to Deny or Notice of Intent to Revoke.

Hoping this is real, and might be the breaking of the logjam at CSC.

Very quick update: got home today, and found a letter from USCIS in the mail. It contained an I-797 Notice of Action, informing me the petition was approved and being sent to the appropriate consulate. Nowhere on this does it state that it is a NOA2, but I'm assuming it is.

Date on the notice: march 7th, same date as the email from the senator's aide. Not sure if that is a coincidence or if the expedite was really that fast (I'm guessing a coincidence or it was scheduled for that week to be reviewed in any case). Why they didn't email me last week with the notice of approval I'm not sure.
