Check this out I filed for an expedite on feb 7 on feb 8 I got a letter wanting the paper work to process my expedite at the end of the letter it had this printed.....

IMPORTANT:

Your response must be received at the Vermont Service Center within 20 calendar days from the date of this notice. Failure to

respond withln the allotted time will result in the denial of your expedite request. If your expedite request is denied, you have the

option to request another expedite through the National Customer Service Center (NCSC) by calling 800-375-5283. You must

allow 60-days before requesting another expedite.

Since the date we received your request, we have approved your case and an approval notice was sent on (insert date notice sent) to

the address we have on file. If you do not receive the notice within 30 days, and you want an official duplicate for your records, you will need to file a Form I-824 Application for Action on an Approved Application or petition. You can download this form by visiting

our website at www.uscis.gov.

USCIS has not one clue about the approval so i scheduled an infopass that was the biggest waste of time I talked to a clerk not an agent all the agents were busy processing deferred action cases go figure.

Have you sent your paperwork for the expedite request yet? If not, do that quickly!

I actually don't think they approved of your petition yet, basically because of this:

"Since the date we received your request, we have approved your case and an approval notice was sent on (insert date notice sent) to the address we have on file."

They haven't inserted a date!

When they write a letter they probably just click different buttons, for example "expedite request, but petition already approved" and the program puts the right sentences into the document. Now they only have to fill in the date (since this is different from case to case) and send it out.

I guess that they clicked that button by accident after clicking the button "Note about putting in paperwork within 20 days". And they haven't realized that and just sent out the letter.

Sorry, I can't explain it any better right now. Do you know what I mean?

And since USCIS doesn't know anything about the "approval" and the infopass didn't help I would just assume it hasn't been approved yet. So you should put in the paperwork for the expedite.

infopass to me was a joke i talked to a clerk who told me the same thing a teir 2 agent told me and a second teir agent also told me that someone will most likely lose their job over this and i should push the issue since it is an offical government document that there can't be any mistakes on them because of legal issues I faxed VSC a letter and a copy of this letter with the approval part highlighted and now I am waiting on a response from them
