Hi Everyone,

We are sending our packet 3 on Tuesday and we would like to try to get an interview as soon as possible. I have read on here that some people have emailed the embassy requesting an earlier interview date and have been successful. We are wondering if it would be worth adding a little note with our packet 3 saying that we are ready to go and are available for an interview asap.

If anyone has any knowledge or insight on this we would love to hear your thoughts or advice.

Thanks heaps everyone.

David

I included a little note with mine. Not sure if it helped or not. I figured it can't hurt.

Thanks what I thought. Thanks Lainie.

I did too, but don't know whether it made any difference.... think it's pretty much first come, first served as long as all the paperwork is straight.

Basically, we included a note with a choice of about five dates in rank order, explaining that I, the USC, was going to be in the country for those dates. They did ultimately give us one of our selected ones, but I think it was our third choice. Who knows if it helped...

Finally finished with immigration in 2012!

No worries, thanks so much for your advice.

We sent packet 3 off last week and I emailed the consulate today confirming if it had been received and trying to prompt an interview date. No such luck, they just gave a generic response about how busy they are etc etc. I will wait for our interview date and then try to email them for an earlier date. We figure it is worth a shot!

Also, I had no idea they only did interviews on Tuesdays.
