While my wife's DS-3032 is on the way to the NVC, I thought I would have her gather up what is needed for the DS-230 and send it to me. According to the LingChe NVC ShortCut, below is what I need to have her send me:

1. Completed DS-230 form.

2. Photocopy of her passport with notarized translation of it.

3. Certified copy of her birth certificate with notarized translation of it.

4. Certified copy of our marriage certificate with notarized translation of it.

5. Certified copy of her police certificate with notarized translation of it.

6. Certified copy of her divorce decree with notarized translation of it.

A couple questions: I have read somewhere that you should send a set of photocopies of these original documents along with the original documents to the NVC? And, do I need to send passport style photographs of her along with these documents? Anything I'm missing here? Thanks in advance for your replies.

The biographical pages of her passport and 2 passport pics. You are almost there.

My bad you already listed that. And Mimolicious already mentioned the pics. Nevermind. I need my coffee.

No but they must be certified correct. (aka done by someone who can say they are competent translator of that language and attests to that.)

I believe I have read that you should supply a photocopy as well so that they can keep the copy and hand your originals back to you at your interview. My process is a little different due to EP but I'm pretty sure you want to provide copies of anything you want to get back. Otherwise they'll need to keep your originals.

Yes you need to send in 2 passport style pictures. Congratulations and best of luck!!

Hi!

Sorry to get through with another question in relation to the above-mentioned case. We are currently waiting for our NOA2, obviously it would take few months more for this. However, should it be approved,we'll head to the next step which consists this form DS-320. Ive read from the forum that original passport of the beneficiary should be submitted to the NVC. In my case as holder of work permit here in Thailand, we need to see the Immigration Office every after 90 days for notification of our residency. How would I comply to the request should I submit it within the time for me to see the Immigration Office in Bangkok?

Kindly advise. Thanks lots.
