Hi! Has anyone here received the same notice?

Post Decision Activity

On February 14, 2013, your notice I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) was processed and mailed to the address on record. If you have not received it within 30 days of February 14, 2013, contact customer service at 1-800-375-5283. If you move while your case is pending, please call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations.

My fiance and I already checked online and we haven' t exactly found anything that is exactly like this. He also called the customer service and he was told that our case is in fact in the post decision activity and we should just wait for the mail. But of course, we are so excited and anxious about what this is all about and we want to find out ASAP. I'm sure you guys would understand as we are all in the same boat. :)

For approved petitions, we noticed that it almost always say "approved" in the notice. We're hoping that this is an approval but we don't want to end up getting disappoined in the end. Our petition was only filed on Dec 3, 2012 and our NOA1 was dated Dec 7, 2012.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! :)

It does not sound like an approval, did you have anything in your situation that would raise a flag? I've never seen a post decision like this as well.

I don't think there are red flags as our relationship is legitimate. We're childhood friends and he just migrated to the US with his family in 2007. He filed for his citizenship on Nov2012 and as soon as he had his certificate, he submitted our I129f.

You're right. This does not look like the typical approval notice. Those that I have seen clearly states "approved" on their notices. On the other hand, this does't also look like the typical denial. So which one is it? RFE? If so, it shouldn't be under post decision activity, right? If this is a post decision activity, it's only either approved or denied, isn't it? We're really confused. :s

Why does USCIS have to torture us all?! LOL! Can't they just inform us upfront and save us the agony? : P

I doubt that it's about a wrong payment. As for the evidence, we followed the guide here at VJ. We had letters, pictures, boarding passes, hotel bookings, etc.

We're reaaally hoping it's an approval. Aren't we all? :) But we're also taking into account that it only took 2 1/2 months from our NOA1 to the receipt of this notice. At the rate CSC is going, it's highly unlikely that they'd approve our petition this early. But if they did, I sure won't be the one to complain. LOL. ;)

It could be a glitch in the system. Who knows? That's why I'm hoping that someone here has encountered the same notice an could shed some light into this.

We just hope that the letter would reach us soon so we can stop all the speculating and worrying! :)

I don't know if these information would help...

Dec2012. Upon filing, my fiancé (petitioner) noted in the initial acceptance notice he received that my name was misspelled so he called the USCIS. He was informed that it was just a typo on the notice but they had the right spelling on the petition.

Dec2012 - Jan2013. After that, we also received the "alien registration number" notice either late Dec or early Jan. Then, my fiance moved and updated his change of address online. Since he signed up for the email and SMS update, he got the notice that his application for change of address was successful. That was also reflected in our case status in the uscis.gov website. He also received the actual mail from USCIS regarding the address change.

On Feb14, he got an email or text message from USCIS informing him that there is an update on our status. That's when we saw this Post Decision Activity notice. We went from Acceptance to Initial Review, skipped Decision and went straight to Post Decision Activity.

I hope that someone here has a first-hand experience that is similar to ours. But any input would be great. :) It's good to talk to someone here cause everybody understands what we're all going through to be with our loved ones. :) Again, thanks for all the help!

When my I-129F petition went into "Post Decision" status it was just normal - and yes, it was approved. I believe that if there is or had been a problem it would have stated so. So, I wouldn't worry for not. Just wait on the mail.

Best of luck!

Yes, I keep on telling myself not to worry since that won't do me any good. :) The only thing we can do now is to wait for the mail. Thank you!

Hi! :) Yes, we did receive the change of alien number. I'm not sure if it was late Dec or early Jan. :) As for our NOA1 hard copy, it was around second or third week of Dec. :) I read here at VJ that some applicants didn't receive their hard copies but their petition was approved. So maybe there's no reason to worry? :) Good luck to you as well! Let's all hope that we'll get our NOA2s soon! :)

Check this out I filed for an expedite on feb 7 om feb 8 i got a letter wanting the paper work to process my expedite at the end of the letter it had this printed.....

IMPORTANT:

Your response must be received at the Vermont Service Center within 20 calendar days from the date of this notice. Failure to

respond withln the allotted time will result in the denial of your expedite request. If your expedite request is denied, you have the

option to request another expedite through the National Customer Service Center (NCSC) by calling 800-375-5283. You must

allow 60-days before requesting another expedite.

Since the date we received your request, we have approved your case and an approval notice was sent on (insert date notice sent) to

the address we have on file. If you do not receive the notice within 30 days, and you want an official duplicate for your records, you will need to file a Form I-824 Application for Action on an Approved Application or petition. You can download this form by visiting

our website at www.uscis.gov.

USCIS has not one clue about the approval so i scheduled an infopass that was the biggest waste of time I talked to a clerk not an agent all the agents were busy processing deferred action cases go figure.

If you called and talked to customer service and they didn't tell you it was approved, then I'm inclined to think it's something else. It would show in their system as an approval. I'm wondering if since your fiance filed so close to getting his citizenship that it might be something to do with that. Hopefully its just a simple thing as needing additional paperwork from you , really interested to know when you get your mail! Best of luck and hope its an easy fix or an odd approval !

Hi cel-ann! :) A lot of people did get that change of A#. And even if you do not have the hard copy of your NOA1, if your case status is updated online, I guess there wouldn't be a problem. :)

And we don't have our NOA2 yet! How i wish we did! LOL. It was just a weird post decision notice which we still don't have any idea what it really means. Crossing our fingers that it's an approval. But we'll never know until we receive the letter. It could be a glitch. :(
