Hey Everyone,

I'm about finished putting together my AOS(I-485) packet, and I want to know whether I need to include supporting evidence in the packet similar to how we did in the I-129F packet?

Also, do both petitioner and beneficiary include G-325a with this packet?

Thank you!

I assume you mean proof of a relationship? If yes, then the answer is no. Those documents (pictures, joint bank account, joint insurance, etc) will be needed at the interview, if you are scheduled for one.

Please read the VJ AOS from K-1 guide, and read well the USCIS instructions for each form. And I strongly advise you to apply for EAD and AP too, those 2 applications are free when filed with the I-485 one.

Add a check for $1070 made out to the Department of Homeland Security paper-clipped to your cover page. Behind the cover page put a Form G-1145 if you want to be notified that they got your applications. The cover page will look similar to the above list telling what you have included in the envelope.

That's 3 separate applications with supporting evidence all mailed together in one envelope with one check, one cover page, and one G-1145. They will get processed in different places, so that's why the duplication of evidence. You don't have to do all three, but the second two are free if sent with the AOS and will get you authorized to work or travel sooner than waiting for the green card to arrive in most cases. Green card could

take 5-6 months. Work and travel 60-90 days.

Do not work until the I-765 is approved and you have the EAD card. Do not leave the US until the I-131 is approved (K1s) and you get the travel documents or you will not be allowed back in. Once you have a green card, then no problem.

Note: The EAD and AP are now coming as a combo-card covering both things.  AP used to be a paper document. and EAD a credit card size thing, as is the greencard (permanent resident card).
