The above is correct but it should be noted that the DS230 asks for information about the father. I'll address the OP's question about the child who doesn't know their father and how to answer the question as it WILL be asked on the DS230. Simply answer the question. The child has a father and the mother knows who he is. Any information KNOWN should be provided. Only information actually unknown and unobtainable should be responded to as unknown. When asked for the name of the father, "none" could never possibly be the correct answer.

These are "questions". Answer them. For example, the forms ask for my father's date of birth. I cannot tell you that from my head but it is NOT "unknown". It will take me a few second of effort to look it up. I don't remember my second wife's date of birth either but I was able to find it and enter it on the form. Don't take these questions likely and ALWAYS answer truthfully.

Ignore my previous post I hit submit before I was done, here is what I wanted to write

Yea the child father is known but the child doesn't carry any name of his father, his father got a total different name of the child birth certificate, that is my only concern at this point, as I saw a video on youtube

*it is an old video* but if you fast forward it to 16:00 and watch it from there, he filled in "unknown" that is the part that is getting me confused at the moment, should I list the birth certificate great grandfather name who died (since by law in Belarus she must include a father name and she used her great grandfather) or should I fill in unknown, that is the only left concern and I appreciate all the efforts you guys are doing to help out!

Now I understand that I don't need G-325A for the child but as you can see the video's are confusing on Youtube... so as far as I understand as following

For my wife petition I send following information

1- Form I-130

2- Form G-325A for her

3- Form G-325A for me

4- Copy of Original Marriage certificate

5- translation of marriage certificate + notary

6- photo of her entire passport

7- photo of my entire passport

8- photo of her birth certificate with translation and notary

9- photo of my naturalization (extra)

10- photos of our wedding as evidence

11- cover letter of on going relationship

12- any extra evidence of relationship emails etc...

13- 3 Buddy o'mine for affidavit

14- $420 money order payable to U.S. Department of Homeland Security

And for her son petition I send following separately from her's

1- Form I-130

2- Form G-325A mine (is this needed?)

3- Birth Certificate of the child & translation in English + Notary

4- Photo copy of Original Marriage certificate

5- Translation of marriage certificate + notary

6- $420 money order payable to U.S. Department of Homeland Security

Please tell me if I miss something here?

Then when asked for the father's name, answer with the actual father's name. It's a question. Answer it truthfully. It really IS that simple.

Even if the father name is not included on birth certificate and she doesnt know where he live or his date of birth?

Yes. It's a question. Answer it. Then what is unknown, answer unknown. Do not "lie". To name any other father than the true father would be a lie. To say the father's name is unknown when it IS known, is a lie. NEVER lie on an immigration form.

Ok in that case I will contact my wife and get how his name is written and write it as far for his Birthday I don't know if she carry that information, and where he live also or where he was born.

Then ask for all that information. Only answer "unknown" for something unknown. You have a few months to obtain the information and deal with it.

As you move forward, it is CRITICAL that you think first about the true answer to every question. Then you don't have to think anymore. Just answer truthfully. It really IS that simple.

For the child you ALSO NEED YOUR PASSPORT -if that's the proof you're using for your wife's petition then you need the same thing for the child's petition. Remember that EACH petition has to be dealt with individually. Yes, they will be related cases, but each needs its own full copy of the required documents.

Hmmm got all documents ready, should I send it certified mail or express mail with USPS service?

I recommend "priority mail" with delivery confirmation. If you use other than the Post Office, make sure you use the courier address instead of the PO Box address. Only the PO can deliver to a PO Box.
