All because of the damn accent! :P

Actually...my wife has this hot "soviet spy" accent. When I come home from work I sometimes think I'm James Bond or something and it gets interesting...

Hmm...TMI maybe...

most people fall in love with a person not the country they are from

I wish it were true.

Next time someone asks you where you are from, tell them you're from

Tajikistan and see how they react.

how would they react?

I am wondering the same thing

Well, I am like all the others who have said I didn't choose to fall in love with a foreigner. In fact I always dreamed of marrying an american cowboy. The only thing I had about foreigners was the Irish accent. But I didn't marry an Irishman, I married a Moroccan! I love his accent too! Even when we first started talking, I didn't like him. Didn't want anything to do with him. Then when I went to visit my dad in Philly, my friend was dating his roommate, and we had to go meet him, so I ended up meeting my husband and falling in love with him. So it wasn't my choice, but my destiny!

Now Sheriff ol'boy that all depends which side of the pond your coming from as to who is or isn't the foreigner. ;) This generalization is just way to broad.

For the record, I am not one of those pizzy American Men haters. I had a really bad experience with one, but that doesn't cause me to hate them all. I am intelligent enough to know not all American men are like the idiot I was married to.

American men are fine. Not that they're all perfect, but many are nice guys and good catches. Just didn't end up with one.
