Needless to say, it's great to have a forum like this where we can discuss our experiences and essentially support one another. As other people have reiterated, it's not to look at these posts and not feel like you are somehow being persecuted. The sad fact of the matter is that we're all just bits and pieces being processed through a gigantic bureaucratic machine.

Having received NOA1 on 8/6, we were hoping for a NOA2 in December. Foolish us! We'll be lucky if we hear something in March.

And NUFCFC, you are 100% right. We just want to live our lives here. Our applications are sitting collecting dust. Nothing takes this long to background check and look into. They sit for months and months and are likely churned out in a few days after the cobwebs are dusted off and our cases are considered.

The worst part of it is being able to plan absolutely nothing. I laugh when I see people talking about planning weddings. I'm more worried about when my partner and I will even see each other. We can't even book a ticket yet. She can't even give her 30-day job notice. We are sitting around here, waiting endlessly here...just to see when we can start planning our lives...

July 12 and still waiting. I almost had to stop coming to this site when I saw people who filed in Sept. or Oct. complaining.

Oh god! All hail July filers! They are above everyone and no one else can voice their opinions since they have not been approved yet. Yo guys sound ridiculous. You want to "gag" someone because they were approved ahead of you for no fault of their own. Spread posivity and not negativity. I'm sure you guswould appreciate the same. :bonk:

The wait is impossible. We were approved for the visa at the interview on Aug. 9, and then they called back to say we were being moved into administrative processing. Not a word since then. I had to call my senator's office for help for the NOA2 and am working with them now to wrap up the administrative processing, and they have been tremendously helpful. If you've already called USCIS and filed a formal inquiry, the only thing left to do is to appeal to your senator's constituent services office. Mine was very helpful, and I'm sure yours will be too.

It has been 206 days now since our last NOA-1. Anybody out there in the same boat? Why the delay and why some received their approval faster than anyone else. Why are applications not handled in proper order? I have so many Whys!

Looks like you're on the right track. Try some good kush to calm those nerves and you should hear back by the time you sober up with empty pizza boxes and potato chip bags lying around your living room

I think the sheer volume of applications and human decisions and error is behind most of it. It is a random and heart wrenching process, but you are almost out of the woods!

Do you live around Copenhagen? I see a Danish flag on your profile :)

We filed in July and havent heard anything yet. They take ages and need to get a move on! People have lives they wanna live and do not want to waste time being apart!

I agree with you!

Hear hear!! I certainly hope you're right... I'm sure they'll get back on the K1 wagon, but "WHEN" is the bloody question. :(

I've been asking myself that question. For some reason I think March 11th or 18th it will happen. It's just a guess, but it's got to happen at some point, right???? :P Until then I'll continue to prepare for my NOA2 and put as much pressure on CSC as possible with writing anyone who can possibly help.

NOA1 - 8/24/2012

NOA2 - 3/18/2013 Only took 207 days at CSC
