Yes. I went through the visiters line with my fiancee, but I understand you can go through either line. It's not a big deal. After that they will send you to another place for processing the entry on her K-1. At least that was the way they did it in Atlanta.

People mistake customs & immigration.

You go through immigration first, then go through custom check. I have seen postings where USC go through the visitor line together with their fiancee on K-1 or K-3. I do not think there are rules saying it is not doable, except the visitor line moves slower.

Hi, just got my NOA2 Jan 8 applied Sept 6, 2006 from Midwest to Nebraska then got forwarded to California, it added about an extra month on my wait time, I found out just after fact, had I known I could have mailed direct to California since they are handling all Nebraska stuff.

QUESTION:

1)What all are you going to use for your financial support documents on interview for fiancee exactly?

2)Also was told you can send faxed or scanned email copies to fiancee on interview but wanted to check with someone actually going on interview currently that would know for certain what they are doing in Kiev?

3) Please let me know what happens with those financial documents for your fiancee interview, for example do they keep them at embassy or just look at them and hand them back to fiancee or make copies of them and keep or what or is it just simple review or formality, I just do not feel comfortable leaving personal financial stuff floating around in some government worker office overseas, it concerns me.

I apologize I accidentally sent email to you by wrong name, sorry was in hurry and did not mean to do that.

Also curious, how do I check or know when NVC receives my application from California Service Center? Do they send letter in mail or can I go online and check or do they have 800 number to call or how does a person find out, I notice you knew somehow. Sorry to bother you but this is all new to me and just found this website past weekend, it is SUPER, I wish I had known about it sooner, it sure would have helped a lot in beginning instead of learning hard way.
