I became American citizen on December, I have a 16 years old daughter who lives in Spain under government custody because my family abandoned her over there.. I been fighting to gain custody to be able to bring her here and I recently traveled to Spain and got the custody back but she still under their custody until her visa gets approved, I received a receipt saying that her priority date was February 6 but I don't know how long will take to get the approval, at the mean time I'm freaking out because she ran away before and went missing for a while and the government there didn't do anything to find her until I did.. And she is very nervous about it too.. This been a long waiting even though it haven't been a month but I'm afraid she will run away or change her mind and the government there protects children and is her choice whether to come or not, she decided to come live with me once she saw me over there and we spent time together, but I don't know what to expect.. Does anybody knows how long does it take for the approval? The embassy in Madrid and the NVC are willing to accelerate the process for me due to her situation once immigration approves my application..

I haven't try that, I didn't know I could.. I called and they told me to wait I may just make an appointment and go talk to them rather than calling.. Thank you!

When I sent the application I wrote a letter explaining my daughter's situation and how I been in contact with the American embassy and I let them know that they were willing to help, maybe that will be helpful too.
