Congratulations! Wait for SSN! If it doesnt come in your mailbox within 3 weeks, then visit one of nearest SSN office to apply.

If you are a male between 18-26, then register with Selective Social Service.

Good point about Selective Service, a lot of people "forget" about that part!

Congratsssss! And welcome to the states!!! You will LOVE this country. Yes basically wait for your SSN. Once you have your greencard and SSN in hand go and get your driver license, open or join her bank accounts, get your credit and debit card, health insurance and start living and enjoying your life here

Congratulations and welcome to the USA!

Well, next steps is plentiful:

- Going to SS administration to apply for a SS card

- Waiting on your GC to arrive in the mail

- Going to DMV to apply for state ID or lerner's permit (and later driver's license)

- Finding a job (and importantly paying your share of taxes)

- Leading a life of good moral character (and making sure no brushes with law enforcement negatively)

- Waiting 3 to 5yrs and applying for US citizenship

- Getting some good education (if you don't already have it)

- Fulfilling your duties & responsibilities as LPR

- And most important of all being a good wife or husband (while raising & taking care of your family/kids)

There must be lots and lots I missed. Others can add more to the list...Good luck!
