That's odd. In our beneficiary box it just shows the A number. Doesn't actually have it labelled. Here's what ours looks like. I erased our info, but the number continues after the A

Weird, ours is totally different. Under Case Type it has Receipt Number. Should-be A Number is on the right side.

I have the I-797C! I SEE THE BOX. It says "USCIS Alien Number" and is blank.

I believe thast's the NOA1, does it have "receipt" and an amount anywhere? If so that's the NOA1.

The NOA2 should just be I-797, say petition approval and look like the poster posted (above beneficiaries name)

Yup, it's the NOA1. So we never got an official NOA2. Great.

Okay so you're going to have to use the A number on the visa. Sometimes CBP write it on your I-94 as well. Hopefully someone hasn't made a typo somewhere (I remember a poster once had 3 different ones, one on the NOA2 - the proper one, the Visa, and his I-94... listed all 3 on his application and hoped for the best. They "picked on" for him).

For AOS you're going to have to submit the NVC letter and hope for the best. Sometimes that works, sometimes they'll make you apply for a replacement NOA2. Hope they accept the NOA2. Your other option is to have the USC call USCIS and tell them he never received the Petition Approval notice for his K1. Did they have confirmation of delivery? Could they send it to him etc etc and hope that works too.

Yeah, I'll try calling them and say we never got it. Thanks for your help!
