  1. 1. Is Mr. Moreno an a-hole?

    • Yes.
    • No. The poor must be taught a lesson. They are ruining America.

That's the longest most confusing booking sheet I've ever seen for a larceny offense. In one part, she's charged with an A-Mis. And in another, she's charged with a D-Fel. At any rate. This should not be counted as a continuous event. But several separate acts of Petit Larceny. I'm not familiar with Indiana Penal law. But in NY, this is Petit Larceny non sense (property value less than 1000).

This is also the most writing energy I've ever seen wasted on a petit larceny. Mine included...

Oh sorry, I deviated from the topic question. Is Mr Moreno an a-hole?

May be they were looking for an excuse to fire her. That's my 2 cents. :)

walmart does not play around.

my friend who worked for walmart probably ten years ago..she wrote a comical letter, to a friend who also worked there, that was comprised of nothing but titles to hardcore songs (like 25 ta Life, Hatebreed..stuff like that). anyway to outside eyes it probably read like a lunatic ready to go on a mass killing spree but it also wouldn't have made much sense without that back knowledge.

that note was intercepted by another department manager who was cleaning..walmart called the friggin FBI. my friend was called in to a meeting with a bunch of higher ups who asked for an explanation - which she gave. she even pulled out cassette inlays from her car - showing the titles of songs. she was fired on the spot and put on a ban list. seriously, she's not even allowed to shop at walmart, period.

she shops there anyway. i really wish she had a copy of the letter, bet it was hilarious.

Did they press charges? I'm sure there's some patriot act ###### they could have charged her with.

Moreno could've just have her write a statement and then either had her pay back the approx amount she confessed to, or have fired her. No need to involve the police/public in a matter that could be solved without. Apparently, she must've been a good employee on other levels, working at Walmart for 7 years.

A pack of oreos/junk food is nothing really. But 1-2 times a week is 5-6 dollars, throughout a year, meaning she was already stealing when she transferred to that store. I wonder what the outcome had been if the one pack of oreos was the first and only item(involving police or not). Moreno already had a written confession to her stealing more.

IMO, if you get hired, you agree to certain conditions. You wash your hands after having gone to the bathroom, you're there on time and you don't steal from the store. Some companies have a zero tolerance policy.

Pretty much every retail company has a zero tolerance policy. I work part time at a large regional grocery store and I've seen so many people get fired over stealing stupid things. The thing is, they get caught doing it once, but there's usually a history of it with that person. You sign a policy when you're hired. My company though, as far as I know has never called the police over something like cookies.
