Hi everyone

can anyone plz tell me how long does the NVC takes to complete case and send it over to consulate after recieving DS230

Its been almost 11 days since they got my DS230

Does NVC sends any approval letter to the petitioner after they complete the case

It can take one month to 6 weeks once the DS-230 and financials are at the NVC and checked over and then approved. It takes some weeks once it is approved to get the hard copy file to the embassy and matched to the electronic copy. NVC will send you a letter stateside that the case is completed and forwarded to the embassy and in our case the files were at Islamabad before we got our approval letter in the mail. Good luck and your in the last stages at the NVC level.

Our timeline

06/29/2005 DS-230 arrived at NVC from Pakistan

06/30/2005 Both cases are awaiting approval.

07/18/2005 CASE COMPLETED CR1 (124 days @ NVC) and forwarded to Isalamabad embassy on 07/27/05 and arrived 08/01/05.

07/20/2005 CASE COMPLETED on K3/I 129-F (32 days @ NVC) and will forward to embassy. Sent to Islamabad on 07/20/05 and received 07/25/05. Embassy cancels the K3 without interview or paperwork since CR1 was at the embassy one week later.

It took the NVC 3 weeks to receive and finish checking my DS-230. Then it took another 2 weeks for the consulate in Rio to get it.

N-400 (based on 3-year marriage rule)
06/05/2014 Application Sent
06/06/2014 Application Received in Phoenix

06/09/2014 Priority Date

06/11/2014 Notice Date

06/12//2014 Check Cashed
06/12/2014 Received email/text receipt confirmation from Phoenix Lockbox

06/17/2014 Biometrics Letter mailed
06/20/2014 Biometrics Letter Received

06/24/2014 Biometrics Walk-in

06/26/2014 In line for Interview

07/03/2014 Original Biometrics Appointment

07/29/2014 Yellow Letter Received

09/05/2014 Interview letter Received

10/07/2014 Interview

10/17/2014 Received email/text that oath has been scheduled

Slow is the name of this game sadly. Hang in there and keep your heads up.

23rd February 2005 Married.

10th May 2005 I130 packet sent to TEXAS forwarded to Cali.

12th May 2005 NOA1 Received date.

14th May 2005 delivered at 4:34 am LAGUNA NIGUEL, CA 92607.

23rd May 2005 NOA1 notice date.

27th May 2005 NOA1 hits the mailbox.

13th August 2005 po po form mailed off with £10 cheque.

2nd September 2005 po po letter arrives.

3rd September a 4 week visit to GA assuming i get allowed in.

30th september 130 days on I130 and counting.

(Hopefully i finally get a wedding ring today too)

30th November NOA2 date. woohoo

January 2006 case arrives at NVC finally(not sure about exact date)

17th February 2006 IV bill mailed back

21st April case complete (sorry i have missed some dates of forms going back and forth)

2nd May case forwarded to Embassy in London

10th July 2006 visa interview 10.30 a.m.

It takes about 2-4 weeks for NVC to review the DS 230 packet and then they complete the case (if there is no RFE) and then another 3-10 days to forward the case to the Embassy/Consulate.

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview
