Hello all,

My I-130 was approved on January 18 2013 and was sent to NVC. When I called NVC they told me that they didn't receive my documents yet. They told me to scan a copy of the approval letter and email it to them which I did on Febuary 12/2013 still no respond. Can someone tell what else I can do? Should I make a copy of everything that I send to USCIS with the approval letter and overnight to NVC?

Thanks for your input

Moved from tourist visas to spousal visas as the OP applied for a spousal visa not a tourist visa.

No you shouldn't copy and send everything to the NVC. They need the proper file which is your original that USCIS had because it has all the marks notes and other things they did to it. Copying and sending a file to NVC wont do anything as they cannot use it.

I am in the same situation. My I-130 was approved on 1/14. I emailed my approval notice to NVC on 2/11- just got a response today (They dont have it. They will contact USCIS for the case). I'm guessing you will get an email from NVC in a couple of days. Good luck!

Chase down the file with USCIS callcenter. Get an ISO and see what's up.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

CALL USCIS immediately and ask to speak to tier two officer and talk to them. Ask for them to make an inquiry about your case and where it is?

This happened to me in July. NOA2 date 6/29. Did the scan my NOA2 letter to NVC they don't have it.

Darnell instructed me as he mentioned here call USCIS ask for Tier 2 Supervisor and ask "when did my case physically leave your facility". In my case she said "its right here did you want me to put in a service request to have it sent :blink:OMG. That was friday 7/27. It arrived monday at NVC 7/30. And I got case# 18 days later. Phew! So start calling monday USCIS.

Note though if you are at NBC seems they are like doing monthly bundles and are slow slow slow. Sorry.

I called USCIS and asked for Tier 2 Supervisor. She put a request to find out when my case left the facility, and I will get a respond by mail by March 12 2013. OMG I can't believe this is actually happening. I'm traveling out of the country on March 13th. I'm so worried.

You might get a call back from tier 2 officer/supervisor before then, even on a weekend. Make sure you answer your phone if the number is restricted or private. It happened to me and I did not answer on a weekend. Anyway, if you are leaving the country and you have not received a respond, I would make sure either your mail is safely collected each day or talk to the post office and fill out a form to place a hold on your incoming mail. Hopefully, they will respond before you leave.
