Because I met him and fell in love with him.

And the accent does nothing for me. My mom loves it though.

'Cause I met him and fell in love with him. Listening to him speak french makes me melt too. ;) Not to mention he makes me feel like I am the most precious person on this earth to him. That matters more to me than his nationality. :luv:

Also, American men are incapable of understanding sarcasm, especially if it's in their face and wiggling. :P

As far as the beauties of Eastern Europe, as my fiancé says, having grown up in an area with many Ukrainian immigrants, have you seen many Ukrainian grandmas lately?

Yes, and if you ask them how old they are, they will say something like "43." That's the shocker...

My ex-husband was a foreigner but didn't seem as foreign as my fiance. Let me explain. My ex is from Ecuador. My father is Mexican but I look 100% Mexican. As a result, my ex and I looked a lot alike. Also, he had lived here for years before we married so he was not so foreign in that respect.

My fiance, on the other hand, is eastern european. Talk about foreign to me. I had several uncool eastern euro stereotypes before going there and guess what? most were valid!!! But anyway, I digress. I'm going to marry him because ...wow...so hard to narrow I down. I like that he's old-fashioned, doesn't care for fancy things, comes from a great family, has a very loving relationship with BOTH his parents (I never had that), and his humor is corny. Also, he's educated and independent like grown men should be. I'm certain there are American guys with the same qualities? I don't know. I just know that I want MY guy.

Oh yeah, and he's slim. mmmmmmmmm...no potbelly there at all and he's in his 30's. Now, I know some of you will think: so what if he gets larger when he comes here? You won't love him? Of course I will love him. I will love him all the way to the gym :P

I've told him that I don't love him because he's British...I love him despite the fact that he's British

Every fantastic quality D is not representative of men where he lives, or men who speak like him, blah de blah...and it's not because no American man is able to have those qualities either........D has them because he's him, and he's wonderful just on his own. Therefore I felt he was worth it to go thru this immigration/separation hell. Because he's soooooooo worth it. (L)
