I don't have the IRS transcripts that I have read are needed for the NVC. I have a complete printout from a tax preparation program from 2009 and a copy of what my accountant filed for 2010 and 2011 took them to my local IRS office to be date stamped as received by IRS. Will these be acceptable?

Thanks.

Seeing that you are at the NVC stage now, I would give them your stamped proof from the IRS. In the meantime order the transcripts and give copies to your spouse just in case. Better to error on the safe side in case its asked for. Its free and if asked for at least they will be on their way to you and your spouse will have time to have them for the interview.

I only sent the transcripts that was given to me after filing my tax each year and it was accepted & approved with no problem so don't worry you don't have to order your taxes from the IRS. So just send whatever your tax preparer gave you for the last 3 years and you will be just fine. Good luck

Just keep in mind that whatever USCIS and NVC deem acceptable , may not be the same for the consular in CASA. They seem to make their own rules. Tax Transcripts are one page formal paper that show proof that the IRS have in fact received and processed your taxes . While its not necessary I see a lot of people recommend it. What is being printed off once you do your taxes is just a program that you used to do your taxes and doesn't actually prove that you submitted them, or that they were accepted. Aladhassan, you had your taxes stamped by the IRS so that was a good step. I always error on the side of caution when dealing with Casablanca , and go that extra step.

I agree. They seem to make things harder. Well that's all what I got now, is not like I have another option. I back filed the last 3 years and per the IRS my transcripts won't be available any time soon. They said may be sometimes around mid May.

I only can pray :)
