if the guy signed a contract for that amount but didn't detail a prerequisite length of marriage, i mean, expensive mistake but pay up.

Without reading the filings in this case it's only possible to speculate what was in the contract, the OP lacks such details. The OP position is the Kansas court unfairly refused to respect the Islamic contract. How it was presented to the court and what the actual terms of the contract were are both lacking.

But any lady who thinks her va-jayjay is worth nearly 700K might be fairly speculated as being a possible gold digger.

plus, one cannot put a price on the sacrifice of youth and beauty sleeping with old man balls.

Disagree. It worked out to 677K USD. and that's ok.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

2 years of marriage and 677K? Uh, no. That's some bullsh1t.

So you would not sign the contract.

He did.

Virginity doesn't mean much in our culture. It's a grave matter in others.

Definitely an injustice to the girl.

she may be a gold digger but she won't dig a thing if the fella doesn't agree to her worth. there's nothing wrong with being a gold digger, same as there is nothing wrong with a guy who can afford arm candy.

pfff please, if the signed document had said she gets absolute zero and he gets everything you would have a completely different argument. You know it. So would everyone else here.

if she signed a document saying she gets nothing in the event of a split - she gets nothing. i would have no problem with that.

The article studiously avoided mentioning what she did get. It was likely more than nothing but somewhat less than the alleged lottery win promised in the Sharia marriage agreement. If she had insisted that they live in marital bliss in beautiful Iran she might be rich now.

It was a very biased article, who's only point was to portray Kansas as an evil place that harms women because they don't allow Sharia law. Had you looked up where the source article came from, it was from Aljazeera and even they put it on their opinion section. There was no attempt what so ever to get into any of the facts of the case. No attempt to give any information of the husband's side of the case. Although it was very long allegations and indignation.

Things are worth whatever anyone will pay for them. If he was willing to pay that price, that's what her ladyparts were worth at the time of the contract. Presumably the price also included more than her precious flower.
