American women are too lazy, they just lay there, expecting you to do all the work. I find the youth and enthusiasm of a 90 pound brown girl, that treats you like a king, much more appealing.

You should meet my brother in law's wife. She had just started working as a school teacher in Davao City when he proposed to her. She quit her job within a week, to prepare for the wedding of course, and hasn't worked a day since. She doesn't know how to cook, she doesn't know how to clean, she just sits watching TV all day. When she had his first child, he had to hire her a nanny to take care of the baby. When he's at work on ship, she runs home to her mother's house to be waited on. When he's back in country, he's the one cooking and cleaning. He started building a boarding house on a piece of property the family has in Davao City, when he was back one time. When he went back to work he kept sending money for her to hire people to continue the work and keep the site occupied. When he got back she'd spent every penny on herself and her sister, and all the work he had done was gone. The materials stolen because the place was unfinished and unwatched. She is one of the laziest people I have ever met and she's a Filipina in the Philippines. Sloth can be found anywhere, and the Philippines is certainly not immune.

I think too many Americans, male and female, are spoiled and feel too entitled. Put them together and often you don't get a good match.

Since we don't eat out, I am not sure exactly what we are eating-- since clearly I never cook. My CABA genes must prevent it somehow. Are all of those CABA female chefs somehow in total disguise-- really being from non-CABA countries? Maybe they are actually skin walkers, and have learned to alter their voices. Oh the possibilities! The world is full of magic and promise.

There are many horror stories about Filipino marriages, between Filipinos in the Philippines. My brother-in-law, the way my wife tells it, married young, to a useless witch, that gambles all day and sells the kids clothes. He is a work of art as well, six kids, and overstaying a work visa in the US, living with another woman. But his kids all have the latest i-Phones, so #######! Stories like that are universal, not just in the R.P.
