I just wish you could keep your comments to yourself, as I had made no assumptions about your pictures or had never even acknowledged you. Kthx.

1. It wasn't a comment - it was a question.

2. I don't need to be acknowledged by you to post on a thread - kthx.

3. Obviously I must have been SOMEWHAT right cause you took that pic down...

4. If you put something on a public internet forum, prepare to get comments, questions, and posts regarding it. If you don't like it - then don't post. period.

5. What "assumptions" did I make? It was your fiance, on her hands and knees, in her lingerie, on a bed...and I assumed WHAT from that? I specifically AVOIDED making asumptions by ASKING you a simple question.

I'm sure Ewok also doesn't like when you ####### on a legitimate thread, as you and the other nosey ninnies did on the last one. We were merely having an off topic discussion...yes, there was stereotyping of American women by some. That's the reason I think you guys decided to deflect attention away. At any rate, it's a moot point

Crapping on a thread by asking a question? You just got really defensive...not my problem...yours. oh and if the BEST come back you can muster is to insult people's weight...you should study up. I'm sure you can do better than that.

I'd say you need to think about WHY you are getting so defensive over my question...maybe cause you realized having those pics of her posted WASNT the best idea?? I wasn't passing judgement on your photos, BTW, just asking a SIMPLE question....you were the one who took it personally and started overreacting...

Have a wondeful day :)

Why are so many American men marrying Filipinas?

First, there are some absolutely wonderful American women with excellent qualities fit for marrying. They do exist like good men do exist despite what people say. As far as the Phil-Am phenomenon, well that’s simple. There is a spiritual loving humbling humility to all that they do, all that they are, and all they will become.

What I have found interesting is that we can reference other nationalities and their wonderful traits (and nobody really give a rebutal) but when it comes to Filipinas... the conversation goes to stereotyping... I speak from my own personal experience and I believe the other men do to. How can I stereotype experience...? That's ridiculous!!!

Read what you wrote. I would understand "there is a spiritual loving humbling humility ( whatever you mean by that ) to all that my fiance does, all that she is, and all that she will become." But you said it about all Filipinas.

How is that just experience? Have you dated them all? I know that's all I meant.

No! But I was working on dating them all until my fiancee rudely interupted me... LOL! :D

Stereotypes don't come out of thin air. In most cases there is a grain of truth to them.

Grains of truth aren't all that useful when evaluating individuals, unfortunately. If we went by my ancestry I'd be constantly surrendering to my militant self.

And stereotypes backed by an industry that has an interest in getting you to believe the stereotype has even less of a grain of truth.

:thumbs: Exactly! Nothing but crafty marketing at work. The problem begins when marriage becomes a commodity...IMO.

When someone says '<insert nationality here> are great, fun loving. etc' instead of saying 'MY FIANCE is great, fun loving, etc' it seems a lil bit odd to me....

And I wasn't around all that much last night, but I'm glad Caroline asked the question about the fiancee in her bra and panties on her bed. I thought the exact same thing like 'had I had that pic taken on my webcam for my man and he splashed it all over the internet, I'd be livid'

Cos I would. Cos summat like that should be special...ie something private, not hosted on the www

I'm surprised that none of the guys have come out and said they are attracted to certain physical features. Growing up in Arizona, I was always more attracted to latina girls. My ex-wife was hispanic and I was in LTR with a woman who was Puerto Rican. In terms of physical features, I happen to be more attracted to brunettes, rounder facial features and brown skin. However, I prefer curves - not into petite women with no junk in the trunk. That covers a lot of nationalities right there. :P Jinky jokes that around her friends, she was always the big one (5'6" and I think she's about 150lbs), but when she's with me (6'1" 220lbs) she feels petite. :P No offense to the traditional features of a European woman and certainly they are beautiful, but I suppose physically, it's the 'opposites attract' aspect.

Not to mention the fact that Ewok doesn't like when you open a new thread of the one that he closed...

I really didn't get the big deal with my question anyway - wish I had stayed to see the fireworks!

Yeah, trolls generally don't mind when they make comments to stir up trouble. It wasn't necessarily your comment, but the three other nosey women that followed your comment that couldn't drop anything. I just wish you could keep your comments to yourself, as I had made no assumptions about your pictures or had never even acknowledged you. Kthx.

If you ingore the troll then it will go away

Yeah, my bad...you're right. For some reason they decided to bait me and I took it in the last thread. I was just caught off guard. I need to just ignore them. Thanks!

Hey what part of the Philippines is your girl from?

She's from Legazpi City.

I just wish you could keep your comments to yourself, as I had made no assumptions about your pictures or had never even acknowledged you. Kthx.

I took it personally, because it's none of your business. Obviously, you didn't see everything else that happened after you decided to go off topic and discuss what my fiance knows or doesn't know (which is none of your business). Again, I got defensive, because IT'S NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS. Are you seeing a pattern here? Sure, it's a public forum, but does that mean you want me to comment on personal matters about you and make comments towards you? It's none of my business. Obviously, you've never seen lingerie before either. That's the last I'll say on this. I'm not even going to fart in your general direction...kindly leave me alone. If you do feel the need to direct anymore comments towards me, send me a private message or keep them to yourself. Thanks.

That's not the way public internet forums work - sorry.

If you didn't want ppl commenting on the photo - you shouldn't have put it up. Period.

I don't care where you fart personally.

When people put their business (be it in text, picture or what-have-you) on the internet, others will look, assess, judge, make comment, make insult etc. Some may do it to themselves and some will do it on a thread.

It's impossible to marshall everyone else's actions...the best you can do is ignore what you don't like coming back at you, or regulate what 'stuff' you put out there in the first place. If you want to control what people know about you and can therefore comment on, that is.

BTW, mrc, your fiancee is very cute. :)

Electricity is really just organized lightning.

If it was none of anyone's business, it shouldn't have been on here  you made it everyone's business and you invited comment. Please don't try to claim the high road about how highly personal it is when you shared private pictures on an internet forum.

You seem to be lashing out at Caroline cos she's the one who mentioned it, but there were many who were thinking it. Don't shoot the messenger!

Don't shoot the messenger!

 and apparantly others took it further than I did anyway!! I just asked a simple question which could have been easily answered with "Yes, she knows" or "no, she doesn't"

Maybe that simple answer was given, but I missed it.

Be glad you missed what he said about you and others.......it was nowhere NEAR the high road.

"We are the real countries,

Not the boundaries drawn on maps,

With the names of powerful men.

That's all I've wanted -

To walk in such a place with you,

On an earth without maps."
