Hi!, I´ve just joined the community and I´m really glad I found somewhere where to get some answers that will be appreciated. I´ve been checking on my case status for the last three months and the Post Decision Activity circle is marked dark blue. My mother filed in back in 2008, on the notice of action that was received states Notice Date is June 2008 and of course I´m the beneficiary and I am in my country, as you can see it´s gonna come to five years since this all started so I was wondering if I should expect to receive something in the mail soon since apparently a decision have been reached according to my case status.

What kind of petition did your mom file for you? An I-130? Can't see that info from your timeline.

What was your mom's status when she filed for you? i.e. was she a US citizen or GC holder when she filed for you?

Five years is quite a long time for you not have heard anything from NVC or the consulate.

If you can provide more details surrounding your case, maybe other members can chime in to help as well.

So your priority date is JUne 2008?

If you are:

- Unmarried child of USC, you have another 2.5 years to wait.

- Married child of USC, you have another 6 years to wait

- unmarried child of greencard holder, you have another 3 years to wait.

Bye: Penguin

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

Thanks Boggy1974 for taking on my question. Sure I can provide more details, my mom became an US citizen 5 years ago, it is an I-130 petition type and the filing location is Vermont Service Center.

By the way I was just checking on the timeline settings there is a lot of information being asked to put up there maybe I need to inquire more about how it works and what is it good for.

Thanks Penguin_ie, I´ve been told that before it´s just that the Post Decision Activity status have me wondering about what is the decision that has been reached?
