My I-129 F was submitted exactly 5 months ago, on September 15, 2012. A few days after sending it, I got a reply that they received my application. But ever since then, I did not hear anything. Is it supposed to take this long? Does it seem like it is taking too long now? Most people on here seem to get a reply in four months. Is there any way I can contact them to find out about it or do I just have to keep waiting? Will they at least let me know something about it if I call them?

Seems current wait times are around 6-7 months for the NOA2. Sit tight.

K1 Timeline:

15th Feb 2013 - Mailed I-129F to CSC
21st Feb 2013 - NOA1

4th Jun 2013 - NOA2

7th Aug 2013 - Medical

5th Sep 2013 - Interview

4th Dec 2013 - POE SFO

I think the 4 month wait is far from being current. If you do a quick search or just go straight up to the forum on service centers, you can see numerous threads on extended wait times and how there is a lot of people waiting 7 months and up. We got our NOA2 September 5th and are not expecting any news for the next 2 months.

Good luck !

GC received on the 28th of February, 2014 - no interview, no additional RFE's

Divorced as of September, 2014

NOA1 for ROC 14 October, 2014

Life goes on, my ex-husband is a moron.

Dont overwork yourself by getting worried. Though i have just reached 2 months, am not expecting anything until the next 5-6 months. You are still within the waiting room so keep on waiting. Very soon, u are going to be the next 'patient'.

I understand your concern, because I have passed through that already. Don't worry. My US fiance applied for K 1 visa last year on January and till August there was no response. However, in August we received approval, and things went very fast. On September I was invited on interview, in one week I got my visa)))) :dancing: So, they said, that overall process lasts 9 months, so that's true. They do everything exactly on time, believe me. It seems sometimes that case is frozen, but nothing wrong happens. You must be patient, all will be done on time, in 4 months you will be together. Good luck))) All will be OK!

With the way CSC is working right now , we will definitely be pass 9 months .. It will be 6 months of wait next month and some others waited almost 7 months -- am not seeing myself done by may as planned .. so hang in there and lets pray God to help us. It doesnt seem fair to us that VSC is approving all these people and CSC is completly dead. And for some reason people from VSC are still complaining that VSC is slow.... this so sad

It is normal. You'll have to wait more... sorry :s

You should fill in your timeline, you'll have a better idea of what to expect (VJ gives you an estimate... it is not always accurate but it is worth having a look. It is usually quite good)

Good luck in your visa journey!

From the day we sent I-129F to the day I recieved my K-1: Exactly 9 months
I am the benifeciary

why the curren wait times are so extendet if when you call to the embasssy to ask they are telling you 4 to 6 months? We are passing now the 5th month since NOA1 and we really hope to have NOA soon.

The embassy doesn't know what they are talking about. Call USCIS if you really want to know.
