I'd almost be tempted to fly back early and go to said interview and tell them what I really think, but for the moment, we will let sleeping dogs lie and call their bluff. :innocent:

I missed the part where they called you for an interview.

When was that?

Sorry, the email this morning (this afternoon my time) tersely said that if I did not submit the AR-11 that Hartford will call me in for an interview because I still have a US address.

Is that just speculation because of past standards of practice?

That sounds more like when the CSRs and ISOs say 'your file is at a local office so you'll be called for an interview'

Except that this is the Field Office Directorate saying it rather than an ISO.

If they don't know what is going on....then....I am speechless.

I know, but I'm saying it still seems like they're saying that because that's the normal practice that they're used to.

So, in other words, one of the following:

'we have your petition and petitions are normally sent here for interviews so that's probably what's going to happen when we get around to it'

or

'we have your petition and petitions are normally sent here for interviews, so we're calling all of these people for interviews because no one told us not to'

I just mean it DOESNT seem like this:

'hey laydee, your case is so effed up that we're gonna call you for an interview because we think it all seems suspicious'

KDH, I'm not going to guess what they meant. They said what they said. If it turns out not to be true, then it will be just another untruth.

If I were a betting lass, I would say Hartford is using an old field office manual and probably does call people in for interviews. There has been no evidence on VJ to the contrary and the nearby NY office seems to do it. But, I don't care anymore and I am really sick of their &*(&.

By the time they get around to sending you a notice and you not showing up and THEN rejecting the petition you'll have been through London and probably have your interview date with Stockholm.

I wouldn't sweat it, just poke London and see how long it'll take for them to adjudicate your case, just to get a better idea of your timeline, nothing else. If they say it's going to take more than a month, then maybe rethink your game plan.

I think I will do that, if only so we can make plans and figure things out. I thought I could wait it out until next Friday, but this Friday will have to do.

I'm just a little worried about being a bother, yah know...

I understand that you don't want to be a bother, but let's be honest. If the London office doesn't realize that it's perfectly normal for you to be a bit concerned about your case at this point, someone is seriously NOT in the know. :)

Make the call, set your mind at ease.

You guys will love this.

I have an interview in Stockholm on March 20th, but Hartford is still being special.

My mother got a letter from the Vermont Service Center today. Hartford forwarded them my expedite letter on March 4th, but they have no idea why and are planning on sending it back.
